Good place to have a hearty breakfast! Coffee is also good. They open early so that's good for those who want an early breakfast before travelling to mt cook.

Popped in here for a morning coffee on our travels - best double shot latte we’ve had in NZ! Lovely service and reasonable price, $10 actually covered both coffees (and one on oat milk) which is unheard of now days. Would recommend!

Nice retro style cafe great for a stop on your journey. Excellent coffee and nice service. You can sit inside - and also wonder into the small Bookstore next to the cafe - or outside and enjoy their breakfast, pies or sweet cakesAnd cool: the muffins get heated and served with a piece of butter for full indulgence

Nice small cafe. Staff are friendly. A lot of food choices that are delectable. The view outside the window is beautiful too.

Stopped in to grab some breakfast and coffee for the road, the food was excellent, however the coffee was a let down, it tasted burnt and not nice to drink.The staff and Cafe itself was lovely, would definitely recommend to anyone.

I went for breakfast and a Long Black coffee but the coffee was very bitter and was over extracted so I returned it and asked for a replacement please and explained that it was over extracted. I was met with a very chilled response with no apology. The scrambled eggs were delicious but when the replacement coffee arrived from a stoney faced silent “Barista” it was no better. Sad that she couldn’t manage any conversation or apology, just a sour face. Never mind there’s other dining options in Twizel.

Visited Hydro on a busy long weekend for breakfast and it was pumping. Despite having a queue out the door, they managed to get our (delicious) breakfasts out to us pretty quickly; the food was lovely and the team were efficient, polite and friendly. Highly recommend when in Twizel
