Super location for mountain biking families. Well run campsite, facilities could do with some upgrading to be aligned with other campgrounds we visited. Good playground and safe swimming lake for kids. Small pitches. Forest mountain biking tracks lead right from yhe campsite

We stayed three days in a miner's cottage with our two dogs. The camp is beautiful and so, so peaceful, situated in a lovely forest full of dog friendly walks and swimming spots. Our accommodation was very clean and the beds very comfortable, and the dogs were allowed inside which really makes things much easier and less stressful for anxious pet parents :). The camp is well maintained and well managed - no noisy parties , cruising vehicles, or roaming dogs! Safe and fun for the hoards of kids playing in the trees on their bikes and having a great time, just the way I remember my childhood camping holidays, and so rare these days. Would have loved to stay longer and will definitely be back.

Great place! I first went here over 40 years ago and whilst much of it is the same, the important aspects have been upgraded since then. Kitchen and toilet facilities are modern and clean and the cabins have been well maintained and spruced up.The swimming dam is awesome and the mountain biking trails right next door to the camp are fabulous.. I'm confident that if you have never stayed here before, the first time won't be your last. Highly recommended

Lovely peaceful forest setting. Cabin was cosy and warm, lovely veranda to enjoy the morning sun. Friendly and accomodating host - allowed our friends to pull up and camp with us near the cabin. Hot showers are great for $1 and the cooking area is fab. Can’t wait to return and spend more time here!

Appalling customer service!I was staying at this campsite with my family and woke up to visit the toilet. I noticed that one of the toilets was blocked so I decide to be a helpful, courteous guest and inform the owners that there was a blockage that could rapidly turn into a feculent flood should a passing child choose to inadvertently press the plunger. Big mistake. I entered the office at 0730 which did not seem unreasonably early to expect someone to be awake. I entered the office which was unlocked (good sign) and rang the bell. After a few moments the owner Beth appeared around the corner and announced that she was not there which was weird because I could see her with my own eyes and she did not seem to be a holographic projection. She then turned to leave but I informed her that there was an emergency situation that she may wish to know about. She begrudgingly came over to the counter and I informed her of my discovery to which she replied “that’s not really an emergency” which I agree it was not at the time but given another 5 minutes it could well have been. I imagine however that she would not have been the person tasked with cleaning it up but this would be delegated to one of her family members. I left leaving quite shocked that I had tried to do the right thing by being helpful and and had been treated with complete disdain and disrespect and a complete lack of gratitude by the owner. My wife subsequently went to the office and Beth apparently apologised to her and explained that it had been a very busy night because someone had apparently tried to purchase an ice cream outside of normal operating hours! How dare they! It all sounded rather stressful. Later that evening when we returned from dinner to buy some ice creams for the kids from the little ice cream booth on site Beth happened to be manning the stall. I asked she if she had anything to say to me and she was again very dismissive saying that she had apologised to my wife for being so rude earlier so there was really nothing else that she could do. I decided to explain my reasons for coming to speak to her so early in the morning and my concern that a flooded toilet block could be an issue for all the male campers and she became somewhat flustered. I asked for 2 slushies and she said ‘I can’t deal with this, looked away and ran off!” Wow! I think if you are unable to deal with feedback from disgruntled customers without losing it and running away then you are probably in the wrong business. My advice for anyone staying here who discovers something that needs attention is to just keep it to yourself. It’s not worth the hassle. I wonder if an exploding gas tank causing a tent to catch fire or a pack of rampaging hungry dogs mauling passing children would constitute an emergency after hours. Probably not...
