Went to get a takeaway with a friend.While we waited for one of the four guys standing by the counter on their phones to acknowledge us, we had time to recount the days events.Some minutes later, one of them decided to ask us if we wanted 'something'.We ordered and it arrived in an acceptable time.Our orders were reasonably good sized portions. However, there was a quite sweet overtone to both curries.Won't go back. Better service may have saved the day for you despite the disappointing food. But obviously customer service doesn't matter.

If I could give less than 1 star I would.The service (if you want to call it that) lacked, we arrived and got seated while the staff member was on their phone the entire time. After 15-20 minutes he came over (still on his phone) asked what do you want" took our order of curries and walked off

The worst Indian guy I have ever came across, I placed an Uber eats order at around 3:45pm and then I was waiting for my order up until 4:30 because the estimated time was that much, later on when I followed up on my order they said the restaurant will open at 5 and then they will start making order because apparently on Ubereats it was showing open. I don’t understand how their policy works, the least they could do is inform by calling the customer but ended hanging up very rudely, didn’t even bother listening up to me.

This is the worst Indian restaurant I've ever been to. I've tried their food a couple of times, but unfortunately, I got sick every time I ate it. Even my friends who ate there got sick. I strongly advise against ordering from this restaurant and wasting your money.

The chefs special lamb curry was absolute beautiful (and I’ve had a few). Now my go to! Next time we’ll dine in. In our neighbourhood. Who would have guessed?

We attended a wedding which castle 91 catered the food. The food was cold, service was very, very poor. The quality of every dish was not sufficient at all. Each dish came out after waiting for 20 minutes. Very disappointed with dinner service. I will never go back to that restaurant never again in Tauranga. No organization skills and the staff has no peoples skills.

I had given this place a 5 star review in the past year. My apologies. I am changing my ratings for this place due to very pathetic customer service. Today we placed a delivery order which didn't arrive in two hours despite a comittment of 50 minutes. We had to change three phones to speak to someone in their restaurant as they did not want pick up our phone.When we connected to the manager did not know his own name despite us asking several times. Funny isn't it? The owner was trying to be oversmart. Driver called after 2 hours and we asked him name of his manager and he said he does not know him at all and he is just an innocent driver. Never seen a comedy team like this.

Very bad service we order something else but they were giving us different food but we realised that its not the same and we try to talk to them but they were not listening at all and trying to make us fool and even charging more. We are not recommending to anyone and will never go there. Worst place.

we live all the way in mount maunganui and love to make the trip all the way into tauranga just to grab their butterchicken. Their service is amazing and so is the food! I believe it is the best you can find :))
