Chaslands Farm Cottages

As a group of 5 we shared this classic kiwi bach on a secluded farm in the middle of the Catlins. Accessible to all of the breathtaking beauty of this area. We went for walks to waterfalls, caves beautiful bush and beaches by day. Returning evenings to a bach that had everything we could need on a self- catering holiday (We shopped before leaving the city). With wallpaper and furnishings reminiscent of our 1970's family homes, it was a step back in time. We played cards, read, chatted, cooked together, overlooking paddocks and bush clad hills. A great escape from the modern world. The owners are very kind, friendly, hard-working farmers. It was great to tap in to their knowledge about the local history. The pet goat was a fun distraction.

Cottages are old and not in very good shape but they are relatively clean and everything works. Beds are comfortable and water from shower is hot!
