The phlebotomists are awesome, and the test was over pretty quickly. Would recommend going before or after the lunch rush for a super quick wait time.

The worst experience with that lady. Such a unprofessional nurse. She was so grumpy and rude. I wish i knew her name so i could report her to scl.

Generally pretty busy, usually end up with a 10-15 minute wait which is not too much an issue. The waiting area is comfortable enough and there is sufficient room to wait. The staff are normally pretty good, haven't had any issues with having bloods drawn.

They close before the stated hours on their door, so make sure you arrive an hour in advance of them closing. I’ve also had my tests incorrectly administered, delaying my health procedure.

It can get busy, especially around lunch time, but the staff do tend to go through customers quickly, so you will get served fairly quickly. The staff member I had was friendly, efficient, and did well.

Although the service was good and was fast they proceeded to never pass on my results to my GP and specialists. It was and urgent test which needed to be done and after three weeks I reached out after my doctor said she had never received my results and I was appalled. I left two messages to enquire about my results, and was empathetic if it was lost and needed to do again but proceeded to never hear back. 5 weeks later I have gotten the test repeated and results back within a few days somewhere else. Extremely rude and useless I will not be returning.

We called up today at 11:45 to enquire about the collection centre and the receptionist on the phone was extremely rude. She told us that what we were asking for was stupid. This is appalling and unprofessional considering this is the only SCL open on the weekend and it was an urgent inquiry. When people are just asking for help and receive abuse it is not acceptable.

The closing time is a incorrect, they stop seeing anyone non urgent after 17:00-17:10 onwards, so if you go after that they'll say they can't help and to come back tomorrow.They should change it 17:00 for Non urgent, 17:20 for urgent

Everyone was lovely, however the nurse dropped the cotton swab after the blood test, then picked it up, and put it on the spot where the needle had been

If you are not registered in New Zealand ( i.e. if you are a visitor, or a parent of Nz citizens ) if you want to do self request test, you have to pay more than doubled for some tests. For example CPK blood test, first you have to get recommendations from a GP(if you are not enrolled, pay $250 to after hours ) then you have to pay again to wellington SCL. Cant be done without referral.(Test is crucial to change the dose of medicines to monitor muscle damage of auto-immune disease therapy!)
