Whakatane Aquatic and Fitness Centre

Beautiful staff, lovely venue the spa pool was nice how you could watch everyone. The outdoor covered pool was GREAT for my big body, having those stairs sure did help getting in and out of the water instead of struggling up the ladder lolz. Can't wait to come back and bring my whanau here!!!! They even have a bombing area!

Community aquatic centre with basic amenities and gym. Pretty limited parking for size of the place. Standard big indoor lap pool sectioned off for various activities and free-swimming along with your typical indoor hydroslides and family spa. Facilities are getting pretty tired guys! Changing rooms are getting to that ew stage. Not enough for the amount of patrons and the showers are cold with no pressure, on silly old timers and are dirty with no dry storage or shaving outlets at the vanities.

Had our nephews birthday here! First whanau to hire out the newly developed area out the front! Catered for our needs. Bbq also provided by the centre.. Should definitely consider hiring out tables, chairs and gazebo (raising the hirage fee of course) for this area to prevent whanau back and forth trips to bring thier own. Gardens are lovely touch to the atmosphere (whanau could possibly use these for decorating purposes) ie: dinosaur/fairies theme (putting dinosaurs/ fairies in there to vamp up the theme) the choices are limitless. Kids loved being able to go swimming with their birthday pass bands all day but should be able to pay that little extra for hydroslide access. Another idea would be to put the tables together at the end so they can be used as one instead two seperate, just makes easier setting up for functions. Kids always have a great time coming here, the spa pools are great. Prices very affordable for families. The showers and changing rooms however could be improved. Otherwise highly recommend

Excellent community sports centre.We paid an inexpensive casual fee to use the gym and the swimming pools. The range of facilities were great, and the staff were friendly.Would highly recommend coming here, suitable for all ages.

Great place to have a birthday party for kids. Playground and area to eat and have a BBQ. The aquatic centre is fantastic for children.
