Victory Beach
So beautiful and powerful with a sweep so typical of the peninsula! The walk to it is sensational and calming and the beach empty! Can't recommend enough!

Stunning white sand beach that is a good half hour walk from the end of the road. Usually totally deserted. Lookout for Sealions and Yellow Eyed Penguins. NO DOGS ALLOWED!Remnants of the Victory" Shipwreck are sometimes visible at low tide at the southern end of the beach."

A lovely walk out on Otago Peninsula past the Pyramid Rocks to Victory Beach, which is to the South of Taiaroa Head. Relatively flat walking with a good track through lupins and flax etc.

It's a bit of a hairy hike to get there, not long but easy to get a little lost. Possible to see sea lions and yellow eyed penguins, but not a high probability.

Amazing spot, low tide is best time to go to see the shipwreck, good long walks with good views all around, always wildlife in area so always make sure you keep ya distance, everyone is friendly, makes a good day trip

Beautiful white sandy beach. Walked it with my 3yr old and husband carried our 1yr old. Saw a mother sea lion and her baby.

Beautiful spot. Especially on a cold and calm morning. Lots of wildlife and history. View from the top of the pyramid is a must. Takes ten plus minutes to walk from the car park to the base of the pyramids. Takes another 10 to 15 to get to the beach which you can walk along for miles. Some fantastic preservation work has gone into restoring the fauna. Highly recommend.
