Aki Kitchen

It is not often that I award a venue 5 stars, but this is a very special case.Out for a romantic lunch, looking for a healthy option in a nice and calm setting, Aki Kitchen came immediately to mind.We parked up (lots of parking available!) And entered the restaurant and were pleasantly greeted by the young gentleman wait staff.We were then quickly seated and offered drinks.As it was a chilly autumn day, we both ordered a bowl of miso. This turned out to be an amazing start to the experience. The miso was rich and deeply flavored, warming the body and spirit. I highly recommend this to all diners as it is a lovely way to warm up and compliments the food from the kitchen well.Browsing the menu, a lot of options jumped out at me, but I chose the beef teriyaki salad.When the dish came to the table, I was impressed by its presentation. It was a beautiful dish loaded with fresh salad and generous portions of deliciously cooked beef.The beef was tender and tasty, cooked to about a medium degree, juicy and sweet with the teriyaki.The salad was made from fresh ingredients, with cabbage, sprouts, edamame beans, and the most delicious dressing, lite and full flavoured. I managed to eat the whole thing and still felt light and refreshed.My wife had the noodle soup. This was hearty and fulfilling, the thick udon noodles giving texture to the multi layered soup and the chefs special side dish of tempura vegetables. The little surprise star of this dish was the pickles, amazing.If you have a hole in your tummy and are looking for some peace in your heart and mind, visit Aki Kitchen. And take someone along for the experience.

Great food and fabulous, friendly service. Food always arrives quickly and is so full of flavor. Love that they have a takeaway option for when I don't want to cook!

Good food, was made quickly. Nutritious and large portion of slaw was also served alongside the teriyaki chicken.We will be back for sure

First food intake here at Nelson. Really good food and friendly staff. The Bento box with chicken katsu was sooo delicious! Highly recommend!

Delicious Japanese food. Place is very clean and our server was fantastic. Service was quick and food was hot and fresh.

The owner is a genuine and loving owner of a great authentic Japanese restaurant. This is my only review on google. That's how much this was amazingly good.

This is my first evening visit to the Richmond Aki Kitchen. The food was delightful, cooked to perfection and was as nutritious as it was delicious. Our party of five had a great time. The services was friendly and helpful. The Saki was very good. We are looking forward to our next visit!
