Celebrated my sisters bday here as a first table and the service was 12/10 probably the best we have ever had. Even tho we arrived late and asked to take leftovers, the waiter was super hospitable.The waiter was super kind the food was really good too the club sandwich being a highlight.

The service was very slow, I ordered a steak well done and was rare they did however make me a new steak but didn't give me back my fries that I was still eating which I am disappointed by. Also there isn't gluten free alternatives for pasta or burgers or most of their dishes mostly only salads that was gf as the chips weren't either which again was disappointing the price is incredibly high for what you get especially when you don't get half your chips back so ur mostly eating just a steak for dinner

Vivant restuarant is located inside the Ibis Hotel on Featherston St in Wellington. This spacious setting has pleadant decor and surroundings. The food was very good, well presented and quite reasonably priced given the location in Wellington's CBD. The service was professional, prompt and polite. I enjoyed my dining experience there and would be keen to return to try out some of the rest of their menu (I had the WOAP burger entry, which was excellent). I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Terrible! Bad service and even worse food.One of our party became violently ill a few hours after eating at Vivant.We ate at the restaurant because our party of seven were staying in the hotel and we arrived late in the evening.The restaurant wasn’t very busy, but we were warned to avoid ordering the steaks as they would take longer.The main menu lacked vegetarian options, our server advised only soup was vegetarian. We asked for the grab and go menu, which had a few more items.We ordered and then waited and waited and waited some more.We waited well over 90 minutes for the food to arrive. Most of us received partial orders and then had to wait for another 20 minutes for the rest of our food.We were told once by the manager that they had dropped some of our food, which was partly responsible for the delay and the comped our non-alcoholic drinks.I found the lasagna quite bad. The sauce was unseasoned and reminded me of canned tomato purée.Additionally, one of our guests became very sick that night from what we suspect was food poisoning.

Food was good. Service was shocking. I asked 3 times for a drink and went up to the bar (outside of the restaurant area) and got one eventually- no one noticed or cared. When I came back, food had been served and sitting at my empty table for some time. No apologies, no explanation. Expensive restaurant for poor service. Would avoid if at all possible.

I enjoyed a lovely restaurant experience, with my daughter, at Vivant tonight. Our meals were absolutely delicious! The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly. SO YUM!. The staff were nice too.

They have a good selection for a buffet breakfas; from hot item, cereals to pastries.For dinner, they have limited options available but still good ones.Staff are friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the ibis hotel and it's in the hotelSo we had dinner not to bad good stake and wife said her salad of vegetables was good
