Solar Sure

Jon and his team have recently completed an off-grid solar installation at my place in the country. The entire job went smoothly and the end result works amazingly well and what's more looks great too.Jon has a vast knowledge and capability with all things solar. I found this quite refreshing after spending countless hours trying to get unbiased, reassuring, quality information elsewhere. I wish I'd contacted him first!I'm very happy to endorse and recommend Jon and his team: like me you'll enjoy the journey and the outcome.

After going to the market I selected Solar Sure, the others should stick to selling carpet and not try and do deals over the phone / net.Jon visited our house and immediately I recognised he was very knowledgeable about solar systems.I explained what we would like, after consultation with his team he came back with a proposal to use a German Sonnen system which was installed.Solar Sure arrived to carry out the work on time and carried out the installation in very professional manner.Like some others, Solar Sure don’t use subcontractors all work is done by their own staff.After a few weeks we decided that we would like to increase the panel numbers. After discussing this with Jon. He put a proposal together and duly the extra panels were fitted on time and budget.Solar Sure are a very professional competent with the customer at heart, I would recommend them for any installation.

We made use of Solar Sure's electrical team 100% Electrical to install some power outlets in more useful places around our house, and install some extraction fans. They were super lovely to deal with and efficient at their job. We're also just about due to have our solar put in by Solar Zero, which is assisted by Solar Sure. We're very much looking forward to having that done. Would recommend Solar Sure and Solar Zero to anyone looking for any electrical or solar work.

We had been discussing PV for a while and I short listed 3 companies, including one that advertises heavily nationally, and emailed a list of our requirements, site details etc. Within 2 days I had a response from solarsure asking if they could do a site inspection/assessment within the week (after having the panels for over a fortnight I still haven’t heard from either of the other 2 companies!).Jon was in regular contact and had a discussion with us as to what our expectations were. We then had a proposal couriered by the end of the week.When the installation day arrived Jon, Damon and Joe worked efficiently with only a 10 min break. They were very particular about the fitting of the rails. There was an issue with the data link for the app and Jon was very tenacious at tracking the problem down over a week.You will probably find a cheaper system however the output that we are getting even on dull days reflects that it is worth paying for a well planned system.I found the team great to work with and excellent communicators and have no hesitation recommending them.Update:As our roof faces NW I’ve spent the mornings looking mournfully at all the sun going to waste on our garage roof! Last year we bought a BEV an this year we have also replaced our gas hot water and stove top with electric. An email to SolarSure and Jon and the boys called in after doing a job in Blenheim and checked out the garage and had a chat as to how we would connect to the current system. I thought we would fit 4 panels but Jon was confident that he would get 6 x 390w Hyundais up there. Ivan’s measurements confirmed it. A few weeks later they dropped the panels off and then fitted in the job not long after. The system is now firing up much earlier and was producing 1/2 KW the other morning at 9 am despite being covered in thick frost.The service was as good as the first time.

Jon has been most helpful with my EV home charger instal some 12 months ago and again recently with removal so we can move to our new home in couple of weeks time. He has always been reliable and knowledgeable with Electric car chargers and I don’t hesitate in recommending him to anyone. Once I’m settled in, I’ll be getting them to look at a 3 kWh solar system for me. Having had a solar system in my old house I suspect I’ll be investing in another very soon. I thank Jon for his efforts and he has gone above and beyond what most would do to assist me and might I add, at a very reasonable price. 5 stars from me. Very happy indeed.

We purchased from Solar Sure in Tasman because after exhaustive investigation and several telephone calls from competing companies, we decided that the information received from Solar Sure was the best. The quote was tailored to our needs and the panels placed in the best position for optimal power production. The guys at Solar Sure are courteous and friendly, they did a great job . Solar Sure have recently installed a solar system on our 3-phase property with a secondary residence. They were very informative about the complications which we faced and unlike other installers they really took the time to discuss with us what these were and what they thought would be the best solutions. The installation all went well and communication at all stages was excellent. Good work guys - highly recommend!

Although several issues were encounter along the way, the end result is a solid solar system installed and up and running. It is easy enough to give great service when everything goes perfectly, much more difficult if things go awry. It is said that true nature is revealed when one encounters difficulties. I am happy to say that the team at Solar Sure rolled up their sleeves and handled everything with class and expertise. Thanks again.

Jon and his team installed my solar system a couple of years ago, and then sourced and installed the Starion Smile B3 battery system a year later.I really appreciated Jon’s hard work to get the install finished just as we went into Covid19 lockdown. Their work quality was exceptionally high and Jon has kept in touch over the last year to ensure that the system is operating as it should.
