Stopped by for a warm drink and snacks on our way home from Tasman Glacier. Since it was late in the afternoon, all the pies costed $7 instead of $12. The pork belly pie was tasty and had a good amount of black pepper on the pastry and filling. Chai latte and mochas were both quite sweet, give these a pass if you don't enjoy drinks that are too sweet.Since there were many types of seating available, we were able to spend some time on a coach with the beautiful view of the mountains infront of us. It was so toasty and comfortable, it was a little hard to go back out to the cold afterwards.

I've always wanted to stay at The Hermitage but it was fully booked out, so ended up just visiting the cafe. The prices were expensive as expected, but usual for a lodge in the middle of the mountains.Grab your coffee and cake and eat it on the balcony with some amazing views!

Pizza is delicious, but the ability of the service staff is not very good, the meal is wrong, and the order of the meal for customers is not right. They take very little trouble about their work.

Large cafe with plenty of tables available and quite good view from the window. Food and snack selection is vast, plenty to choose from. Coffee is good, no complains here. Prices are still ok despite the location. Tables are cleaned in efficient way, kudos to the staff.

Had 2 pies, some cake. Despite us starving after doing a long hike, we couldnt finish the food. Pies overcooked and dry, cake was dry and yuck. Not worth the money. Views and beer were good though but those are hard to mess up

Great place to get brunch before taking on the amazing walking trails around Mount Cook! I had the chicken wrap which was filling yet light enough to eat before a walk. Friendly and helpful staff!

It's remote and one of the few places to get coffee and food, so it's expensive.Cashier was super friendly but the barista was just weird (and the coffee, frankly, sucked).Served it's purpose, but I would not go back.

Dropped by for lunch twice, where I tried the blue cheese pasta salad and salmon bacon pie. Both hit the spot for lunch and were reasonably priced considering other local dining options.If your accommodations has a fridge and microwave, I’d recommend sticking to this cafe only while at Mount Cook and stocking up for dinner while having lunch there. This is a cafe with a good variety of food options that tastes good and doesn’t break the bank.
