Our first time to try a local fish & chip shop / Chinese takeaways - a very pleasant surprise, the fish was lovely and the chinese was so good. The chinese dishes had plenty of fresh vegetables and lots of meat. We couldn't fault any of the food we received, there was a young girl who was being trained and it was nice to see her getting help rather than being left to muddle through. The food and service is a credit to the owners. We will definitely be making this our local shop. AAA+

Good find just by the town in havelock north. Got chicken wings, pork fried rice, and chicken chow mien. Would say that Pork dried rice is our favorite. They have some lunch deals where you could get small sized meals for only $9 and it’s more than enough for one person. Great food and host in store was very hospitable!

Note to the Happy Dragon: when you're asked...how long will my order take? You need a better answer than we're busy but we're getting through it". We just waited an HOUR in the shop for our order

Got the Chinese dinner for two. Very nice...28.12.19. got family meal 45.00. not impressed this time. Chicken/cashews just about all cauli and broccoli. Fried rice ok. Sweet and sour pork very dry like it was out of Bain maire from yesterday. Wontons..fingernail size meat inside and on the verge of overcooked. Had visitors visiting and they weren't impressed at all.

Worse chinese food & fish n chips we have ever received in our lives, asked for sweet and sour chicken all we got was a a bowl of batter chicken and a separate sweet and sour sauce microwaved this is just lazy we paid $18 we also got the $8 2 fish bites and 1 crab stick the batter was horrible taste old the chips were still under done, the inside of store was dirty ceilings, table and fridges, we gave the 1 star because the lady who served us was nice never recommended anyone going here

Fishnchips , Chinese food and smorgasbord under 1 roof. Awesome. Nice inexpensive food. Great customer service. Excellent welcome when you enter shop. 5 star service. Thank you.

So I went to this place tonight ordered a combination fried rice for $16 what I got was a bowl of rice that would likely. Cost $3 in ingredients, the labour of it plus skill It I appreciate when food is good but this was less than average. I understand the cost of living is going through the roof right now but this is ridiculous I cook a lot at home so maybe that’s why I am surprised but this cost vs value example just crosses the line. Skip this place spend your money elsewhere consider cooking at home.
