A nice 30 minute walk through gentle twisting Bush tracks, You cross the river on a wire rope suspension bridge. The tracks can get muddy during the wet season. The view is worth the walk,

Stunning waterfall! The walk is fairly easy but long enough that you deserve the beautiful view at the end, perfect stop for 1 to 2h free activity

Easy family friendly walk , ages 5 , 4 & 4 months did it with ease. 1 hour return walk. Definitely worth it. There's some beautiful stops along the way also and the kids had a swim in some Rock pools. Definitely a easy one for the family.

An amazing walk through the fields and fern forest that takes your breath away when your reach the final point. We were completely alone on the track the whole time. This was a nature experience of New Zealand that we hoped to get!

Visited on a rainy day. Beautiful waterfall! On a difficulty scale from 1-5(5 being very difficult) I would rate it as a 2.5. Most of the walk is pretty level with not much of an incline. There are a few areas however, that require exertion. Some stairs are involved. Would require closed shoes such as tennis shoes in my opinion. Not stroller friendly. It is Family friendly. Water access involved so keep an eye on the kids. However most areas, the water is very shallow so kids could enjoy a splash if desired. What makes this waterfall a solid 4- star doesn't have to do with the waterfall only. It has a lot to do with the cliff and mountain Bush at the end of the track as well. Farm animals can be spotted on the hills along the track.

Big Falls with a short ~30 min walk from a gravel road through a forest that takes you past the river at the top where you can walk out. Very slippery so be careful if you do go on the river as this leads to the falls at the top. The path takes you around and up to the lookout. There isn't a way to get to the bottom, at least not from the top. Great pit stop on the way or as an easy afternoon walk

An easy paced walk to the waterfall, it feels weird rating waterfalls when they are all pretty stunning. My only comment would be the lookout of the waterfall sort of restricts you to one angle and view…unless you climb around a fence to stand carefully on top of the falls at a turning off before you climb the lookout steps there’s only so many photos you can take from the same angle unless you’re trying some long exposure stuff

Worth the visit. Only 60 minutes return to the car park. Well maintained track. Good to go during rainy season because that will add volume of water at the falls. There is a small car park where you can park your car. The track is visible on the left. We went during summer. I think during heavy rain the track can be bit muddy but good for the waterfall. You can walk to the top of the waterfall but be very careful.
