Cantonese restaurant

Nice food. Dine in or take away. Had the Duck Noodle Soup. Bones left in duck I rather deboned. But very tasty.

I can recommend the BBQ duck on rice for an easy, satisfying dinner at $18. It is a substantial serving and came with bok choi. Service was very fast and friendly in this busy restaurant. I'll come back to try more of the menu.

A little bit like Chinese street food style. I f you very familiar Chinese style cuisine, you will like this tiny pearl. They are working hard, seriously. Food Delicious, bigger portion, low prices…

Thought id try sampan the second time around, hoping this time they would have improved from my last visit a few years ago.Nope. Still gross and disgusting. Woman behind counter was still rude.

Very busy place specially on Friday evenings. You won't get a place without booking. We had good time as a group and everyone loved the food. Ice cream was very good. Plenty of paid parking and a free parking also available nearby in the streets.

Was extremely disappointed with the food and service quality, food options for yum cha had rotations only for deep fried things and dumplings with no stir fry veges in the time we were sitting to eat. The servers wouldn’t explain what options they had on their trays and even when we asked, we’d get a mumbled response which we couldn’t understand. I specifically asked for some plain steamed rice as they said they had no fried rice options and one of the servers said they have plain steamed rice, only to be brought some sticky rice that had squid hidden in the middle with miscellaneous bits of meat that we weren’t made aware of and only noticed as I checked to spoon some rice out. When the server came back he said you’ve eaten it so you have to pay but we hadn’t eaten any of it and advised them it wasn’t what we ordered, that it was opened out of its leaf wrap to see what it was and the server responded by walking away without resolve so we paid for it any way even though we didn’t eat it. Would not return again, so many other good options and this could not compare.

Sadly, that road has roadworks going on more often than not. As for parking, it may be difficult to find one around the Victoria street.The places charges for chilli sauce and takeaway containers. In return, they do have water and Chinese tea available for free.

Service is slow. Food is tasty.

Delightful place to have your yum-char, and their prices are reasonable especially for its portion size. However, they don't push the carts around like any other yum-char places, but they'll take your order instead. Although it can take a while for them to take your order, they speedily serve your order. However, if you come over on special days such as Mother's Day, then be prepared to face a long queue, both to get in as well as to get your order. Parking is not too bad, as you can use the shared parking area.
