Frank's Corner Glenorchy

Very cute store and well curated! I stopped in to buy local NZ yarn as a souvenir, but kind of wanted to get everything. There beautiful jewelry of NZ birds and stones, cards, and handmade merino things for hiking (tube scarves, fingerless gloves, and socks). The owner is also very sweet and a delight to chat with. I highly recommend if you want truly lovely NZ gifts!

Beautiful shop! When I travel I like to find shops that carry locally made items, things that you don’t find in every souvenir store, and this fit the bill! Love that everything is NZ made. And everything is beautiful! Artwork, jewelry, ceramics, yarn, etc. I’ve already used the Merino Franks hat and it’s lovely! Highly recommend!

Frank's Corner has moved to beautiful Glenorchy up the road from Queenstown. I loved this shop when I visited 3 years ago and was thrilled to find it again. Truthfully the best I found in NZ. You can find a range of beautiful, elegant, unusual, quirky and fun items - all genuinely made in New Zealand and not mass produced somewhere else. Would definitely recommend.

I ordered the possum+marino socks & beanie online and my expectations have been exceeded! I received the most beautiful quality items that feel so nice to the touch, accompanied by a warm, handwritten thank you card. Highly recommend and encourage others to support this fantastic NZ business!!

Absolutely stunning store and excellent customer service! On a trip to Queenstown I was desperate to start a new knitting project so went for a trip to Glenorchy. I managed to pick up this beautiful hand-dyed merino yarn (finished project pictured) and also had a really lovely chat with the owner who is super cool and friendly. I was temped to buy everything in the store and can't reccommend enough!

This shop is wonderful! We found the best New Zealand local made gifts of our entire two weeks in New Zealand. Items are very well priced and you can find something for everyone on your list. The gal who runs the shop is super helpful and nice. Please visit and you will not be disappointed. Have breakfast or lunch at Bespoke Kitchen up the hill. We found this little gem of a shop after eating there!

This is not a review about Frank’s corner. If the quality of Frank’s shop and his goods are directly proportional to his kindness then no wonder Franks corner gets great reviews!This is a comment about Frank himself who has to rank amongst one of the nicest human beings you can meet. Backstory, we were just looking for two dollar coins so that we could do some washing and the attendant told us that she had ran out of coins previously. Then out came frank and deposited five coins into our hands without any questions.It was a Sunday night and finding coins anywhere in Queenstown was going to be tough, but Frank saved the day with his kind heart and wonderful generosity. Thank you Frank, was Great to meet you Albeit briefly.

Lovely shop filled with hand made goods! I was having a hard time to decide if I should get the merino or possum mixed socks but the kind & attentive staff came over to assist with my queries. I ended up buying both and no regrets at all! Most comfy socks I've ever worn. ❤️

Strolled over after a nice lunch next door, just for a 10 minute browse. Stayed for 40 minutes, bought 4 items and returned 2 wks later for more. SOO many interesting and gorgeous things. I wanted every other mug the shop had in my house! ( but not possible, was on a 5 month tour of South Is.).The Cashier / sales lady was super helpful and friendly (and pretty too, I suspect, behind the mask). Helped us send some of our purchases abroad as gifts, and was very efficient at getting it done.Am writing this after 4 months (and many many towns) in South Island; this gift shop was by far the most engaging that we came across. I shall return.
