Stadium Motel

Would not recommend anyone to stay here. My mum and I never got the chance and I wished I read the other terrible reviews before I booked.Our situation was we booked for 2 nights to go to a wedding in Hamilton. My mum fell ill so we couldn’t make it on the Friday. I informed motel we couldn’t make it and try the next day. Mum still wasn’t well and turned out she had covid then I tested positive for covid too.Rung Motel and very unempathetic they wanted the money and charged my credit card $200.00 although we never stayed there.Under the circumstances for something beyond our control the Asian owner has no empathy just wanted money and relentlessly kept calling me too, although I was very sick. 2 weeks later she has charged my account. Would never stay there and don’t recommend anyone else does either.

We were given the disabled room. I have no idea how someone in a wheel chair would get on with microwave and glasses out of reach and tight space for a wheel chair. No ramp to get in the doors either! The room was dusty and had cobwebs. The fridge was broken and made noises all night which didn't make for a good night's rest. The car park was full so had to park on the road. Had to go to reception in the morning to get another toilet roll as no spare in the room. The sink was blocked as over flow hole was pouring out bubbles and smelt terrible. The host was lovely and the bedding was nice and price was reasonable. Won't be recommending or staying again.

I stayed here 3 nights and had a friend stay with me one of those nights the room was nice but the walls are very thin we were right by a storage or laundry room and could hear when people talked in there.The rooms were clean except alittle mold in the shower corner but that's easily fixed and the back area could do with a weed spray.The spa bath was wonderful, the back area was peaceful and the kitchen area was immaculate.Unfortunately there was a unpleasant miscommunication on arrival which was rather stressful but after a little discussion that was cleared up.If the room were slightly more soundproof and the shower corner was clean I would definitely rate this 4 stars.So overall I had a decent stay and I recommend people give this place a try it may not be perfect but the owner is nice and the rooms are still alot better the 98% of the other places in Hamilton

DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL! Please read on I'm not normally a complainer at all so to me this is serious and I want to save you from a nightmare, this was my stay.......... Adult hair in both bath and shower. Drains not draining well at all also after my shower there was a foul smell coming from drain in centre of the bathroom that almost had us vomiting. Upon our inspection of said drain it was clogged with what looked like someones vomit but smelt much worse perhaps a previous occupier had weaker stomach. Found 2 cockroaches in the small studio unit, and so much dust under the bed it looked like another seperate layer of carpet. But to add insult to injury while doing online banking the following morning we had been overcharged $100! Raised issue with owner who told us her website was old therefore prices were wrong on it and it was a busy night and she always puts price up on busy nights. Note: busy nights are not necessarily weekends and hols and can't be listed as owner uses her own discretion without notice when then price increases happen she refused to refund us the $100. A complaint has been laid with commerce commission and i will be chasing up a refund through small claims court out of principal. Shame on you Stadium Motel Owners id be giving you a negitive star rating if I could.

Great comfortable space and tidy, clean room. However, a number of the amenities were either broken or didn't work - bathroom door lock had been broken, spa bath didn't work. And light is broken hanging by its power cable.

this place is no good.cleaner does rubbish bins not the rooms ..spa bathroom stinks of cigarettes..peubs aroun toilet..poorly maintained ..DO NOT BOOK..

The motel is reasonably priced, and well located. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, but the rooms while comfortable are becoming a bit run down.Definitely still a good value for money option.
