Searching around for a campervan company and stumbled on Wendekreisen company during our internet searches . Company prices were a lot more appealing then various other regulars campervan hire companies we looked at . Glad we stumbled on them as was a fantastic trip . The Van we hired was the KORU STAR 4 FREEDOM and suited our needs for 4 weeks around NZ perfectly. Was very convenient not to have to make up the bed each day and just press a button to lower it . We did about 5,500kms over almost 4 weeks around NZ and had no major issues during our trip , the little issue we had Wendekreisen were quick to answer phones and rectify the problem . Great customer service , clean modern vehicle and very good pricing . Would highly recommend and would use them again if we do another trip in NZ

We rented a Motorhome for 2 weeks with Wendekreisen Christchurch. Everything about the experience was positive. The booking process was seamlesss. The Motorhome was in excellent condition and as described in the booking. All documentation was managed timely and professionally. The staff provided a free pick up and drop off service to and from our airport hotel to their base close by. The staff provided excellent additional details about travel around NZ and places to visit. Thanks for making our holiday amazing!

We hired a Koru Star 2 with a bike rack for 8 weeks as we toured around the South Island completing a number of cycling trails. We brought our own bikes from Australia. It was a 6-year-old Chinese LDV vehicle fitted out as a camper by Wendekreisen. It was a bit rattly but drove fine and everything worked, and most things seemed well thought out. It came with a gas heater that we definitely needed in the first 4 or 5 weeks. When it was particularly cold (it was snowing in the nearby mountains) we did use our own sleeping bags for a few nights as the doona was not quite adequate. On the bike trails we often managed to make use of daily shuttles to get back and collect the van from our starting point that day.The bike rack was a good quality platform type fitted to a tow ball with a lock. We did carry a bike cable lock to lock our bikes to the rack.The van was the smallest one we could find which came with a bike rack. This did mean we had to make up the bed everyday which was a bit awkward, although the bed was comfortable. If you had the funds, it might be worth considering a larger van with a bed that stays made up.Wendekreisen were excellent to deal with and even refunded us a discount we became eligible for after we had paid for the hire.

Very good service, picked us up from the hotel, delivered us to the van and quickly checked us in and completed all paper work and showed us through the van. We left our excess bags in their storage room. On return everything was as smooth as pick up. We were then taken to the airport for our return flight home. Great trip.

We are a couple of two that was in NZ for 21 days, with a Campervan rented at Wendekreisen company. They was just amazing, VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE. The Van was very clean, full equipment working. The attention was active all the time, and they can resolve all possible problems during your trip. Moreover, they answer fast to your questions in the rental process. I recommended a lot, because not all days you find a company like this. Thanks for all Wendekreiser Team.

Absolutely amazing service!! We were late to pick up after flights being delayed and late to drop off after being snowed in at Tekapo. But the staff were so helpful and accommodating. One in particular was kind enough to help me sort the heating out over the phone after hours.Van itself was on the older side, 45xxxx kms but still in good working order and very warm and comfortable.You may get newer, flasher vans elsewhere but you will never find this level of customer service.Highly recommend, will use again one day soon.

Excellent very professional service. Very friendly professional acting staff. Van handover in the beginning as well at the end quite easy and simple. Listening well about complains regarding small technical problems (normal related to the age of the van) which came up duting hire time. It was now the 3rd time that we hired with Wendekreisen Christchurch and we are again very satisfied that our next booking will be likely again with Wendekreisen.

We loved our home on wheels for 12 days in the South Island. Rented a Koru 2 star Freedom walkthrough which was easy to drive - even in gale force side winds, the vehicle was stable. The rental company was one of the cheapest with no hidden fees. Presentation of vehicle inside was immaculate, everything worked well - including the heater which took the chill off the air in 10 mins or so. The fridge was efficient and of a user friendly size. The firm bed most comfortable & with warm duvets - we slept very well. The seats were comfortable for driving. From first dealing with the company, they always replied promptly to emails, staff at Christchurch depot personable & helpful both when collecting the van and upon return. The lift to the airport was most appreciated and arranged quickly even though they were busy with other customers. Would certainly recommend this smaller family owned company over the major players to those considering a motorhome for NZ. In conclusion, a very positive experience and we are happy with Wendekreisen.

We hired a 6 berth Koru star freedom which was perfect for group of 5 adults. The motorhome was clean and in good condition (except the broken windshield, but wouldn't complain that much as previous hirer caused the damage and didn't get enough time to fix). Staffs were really helpful and welcoming. They explained the detail function of the motorhome and answered our queries with patience. Tyllah, you beautiful young lady, we were delighted for your friendly behavior. Will come back again for sure.
