Wellington Hospital Heliport

I went to the Wellington hospital for a clinic visit. They are still masking up in order to protect the patients and staff inside the hospital. The masks are free, as is the hand sanitizer at the door of the hospital. The atrium is big with lots of head-space. It even has a grand piano towards the escalator and sometimes have live music playing. The wards are accessible by a set of lifts to the right side of the atrium. There is also an out-patient's clinic going up the escalator. As far as things to buy for patients, there's a sjop to buy flowers in this space and a food shop further to the back of this space. If you get lost there is always the help desk to refer to, which is staffed by helpful, friendly staff members.

Parking was shocking at 10.30am on my appointed day, had to park up Mein Street and had to continually ask directions to ENT outpatients. I hold a Mobility Parking Coupon supposedly to make it easier for parking in most circumstances but couldn't find a Mobility Park anywhere in the hospital confines and being mobility challenged and not able to walk any great distance I found it to be a challenge to go from one side of the hospital to the other. There were LOTS of empty parks around for hospital staff but all illegal for the public to park in, what do you do? Throw your hands up, park illegally to make your appointment and get a ticket for your effort, I add that there were a number of cars ticketed while we were there.ĺ

Always good there even though sometimes you have to wait it's worthwhile

Wellingtonians are very fortunate to have a hospital of this caliber in their city, and even more so, that the skills of its dedicated nurses, doctors, and surgical staff and equipment is free!!So many of us believe that the USA is a wonderful, wealthy country, but nothing, absolutely nothing, is free over there! Here, with so many people being hospitalised with covid, and a myriad of other often life threatening ailments, they are treated and discharged, fit and healthy to get on with their lives. In the USA, they are discharged with a million dollar medical bill, or are required to continue paying eye wateringly expensive medical insurance premiums!!So please, please, treat all the medical staff with the respect and courtesy they deserve. They are all doing their very best for you, often under very difficult and trying conditions.

Great, caring, lovable, and awesome medical staffs. Most of them are well trained professionals in their own category. GOD BLESS.

Beautiful. Great place for people watching and lovely food. Need practice at making Irish Coffees, but it wasn't an item on the menu, so forgiven.

Staff here are amazing, especially the night shift on the 4th floor :)

Fine however the plumbing being fixed in my area so there is no water and reduced toilet facilities.

I was in ED with my wife it's really. quite flash now. It's still set up for Covid
