Lovely hot coffee. Delicious gluten free pork & salad burger. Friend's date scone was really good. Loaded Kumara fries were not bad either. They have a separate frier for gluten free options.Quaint 'old skool' tables & chairs. Indoor & outdoor seating.

Used to always go here a couple years ago and it used to be amazing. Unfortunately didn't have this experience today. I ordered the fried chicken on waffles and the bacon was barely cooked and chicken overcooked. We waited 30minutes for my partners coffee which was bought out finally as we had nearly finished our meals and the staff didn't even apologize about the wait. I could have got passed the food and just not gone here again but the customer service was pretty sad.Really disappointed!

We just stopped in for a takeaway coffee on the way through, but when I saw the cheese and onion scones, I had to try one of those too (shared it as was big!). The menu looked good and at another time we would have stopped for food. The coffee was great and the caramel toffee that came with it a welcome surprise (I don't have a particular sweet tooth, but it hit the spot). The scone was great, crunchy outside and soft inside and the staff a pleasure to deal with. We didn't stay long or eat in, but the place had some neat quirky decor and kept me entertained looking around while I waited on the coffee. I can definitely see why the ratings are good with The Running Duck and can certainly recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

A place with character, cute decorations. The “kick in the nuts” shake was great. The food is VERY simple. I probably would stop for a coffee but skipping lunch.

Great little stop off place in Geraldine for a bite to eat. Able to cater for a vegan burger by swapping the Brioche bun off the plant based burger to the gluten free one. Would be idea if this burger was entirely vegan anyways with a proper bun without this swap. Friendly staff, food came out at a decent time.

Other places were closed, so called here and glad we did. Lovely coffee for me and Kick in the Nuts for my daughter (it's a milk shake lol)..and good old kiwi food. We shared a bacon sarnie and a cheese roll. Both really nice. Lots of crispy bacon and very cheesy roll....would definitely call again.Called again in July 23. Still a great place. We had fish n chips ... beautifully battered whiting... flat white and a tea. Good value, good food. They even chased me with stuff I'd left behind. Oops. Thank you!

Food was awesome. Fish and chips were top notch! Also tried the Lemon Ginger Honey Tea and it was definitely a comforting drink for a rainy day. Food potion was also huge so we had to share a main. Would come back to this cafe again in a heartbeat!

We stopped for a coffee while travelling. Very cool little place. Should have stayed for lunch. Perhaps next time. Great specialty coffee, friendly staff and really cool looking place! We will be back... one day :)

Overated, average flavours, I ordered benedicts and the weren't running at all plus very ungenerous slices of Bacon, mushrooms too tasted very averaged. The place is interesting though with a nice atmosphere

Three stars for the place, ambience and nice coffee, but that not all the things that makes a cafe a nice cafe. FOOD is where it missed out. I tried my usual favourite Eggs Bene with bacon. The eggs were as good as boiled eggs instead of poached eggs. I have added a picture for reference. Other than this the hollandaise was fresh.
