Very high prices, with hidden damage to a lot of items that’s not mentioned when they’re asked about. Surly owner, judges customers openly and verbally based on their clothing. Avoid this establishment.

I’m really dissatisfied. I purchased a 20s flapper bag with tassels only to find the celluloid frame was broken ( modding two corners) I wished you had pointed out the issues to me rather than find g it when I got home

I have been in this shop twice. Both times the owner was incredibly rude and disrespectful towards me. Don't bother going to this shop unless you are a well dressed person. He is very judgemental and arrogant. Don't bother visiting unless you like being looked down on.

I actually dont know of a better antique store that I've been to. Knowledgeable, interesting and helpful owners too. Definately worth a stop in if this your thing.

When heading South I will always plan my time around a visit to Provencial Antiques- I have even made a special trip from Dunedin to come here. As a collector and wedding florist sourcing vintage props as flower accesories I have made some fantastic purchases here over the past few years- vases, old rose pictures, damask and the occassional piece of furniture. Would totally reccomend this shop- they know what they are doing.
