Convenient cause you can get ice cream while you wait for your order and it next to the beach what I don't agree with is it cost you $3 per person to eat on site.

Brief visit. Market Day. Wandered passed stalls. Noted fitness area and what looked like parking for freedom campers. Well maintained. Friendly locals. Great spot.

Beautiful place. Great for whanau barbecues, children park, free outdoor gym, Maketu pies yum, and the fish and chips are to die for. This place is worth visiting.

Interesting market day on the day of calling Sunday pleasant spot to stop for a coffee or picnic lunch. Would I go back there ? Probably not a little too far off the main road.

Magical mighty MaketuBeautiful place, it holds a special place in my heart. Not overcrowded and great for fishing, pipi in estuary. Lovely playground.
