Noodle Canteen

Some reason I had Noodle Canteen phobia.. Seeing past bad food grades of other stores I think. But nothing to fear with the Glen Eden branch! The staff were busy but still friendly. Informative when I asked menu questions, the service time were within expectations, and most importantly the dishes were well portioned and delicious. I would thoroughly recommend the Glen Eden branch.

The $45 tray from the GlenEden store is worth the value and delicious

Ordered the Pad Thai, had no prawns in it whatsoever. The dish overall just tasted burnt, it was just a mess of a dish. Also ordered the sweet and sour pork with noodles, too much grease for me and only a couple of pork pieces. Never have any kinds of problems with the Noodle Canteen in New Lynn.

Very fast but food is not good. The noodles aren't mixed through well and the flavours don't taste authentic. The Kuai Teow had no sauce and serving sizes are too big and expensive for one person

Excellent prices. Excellent food. Competent staff. I always get the honey chicken fried rice and it’s delicious every time.Nothing bad to say about this place.Just watch out for weirdos in the car park. I used to work in the shops there and it can get real dodgy sometimes.

This place USED to be awesome. It USED to have great food. It USED to have friendly, welcoming staff. It USED to have excellent customer service. NOT ANY MORE! It has recently changed hands and now it has a distinct miserly unfriendly approach. I reasoned that maybe it was just adjusting or having an OFF day so I went back 3 times. Each time was worse than the last! I have been a regular & loyal customer over the years but they didn’t want to honour my 10th meal free card’! They accused me of wasting their cards because I had more than 1 Card with loyalty stamps due to forgetting my card on occasion and having to get a new 1 stamped. Finally the awful woman ( the owner I think) said she would honour my card but it was the last time ( yep she can count on that) the meal I got was mainly clumpy fried rice and the other ingredients were so scant you needed a magnifying glass to find them. In short, I’m online looking for a new takeaway or noodle box close to where I live. I will not go to Glen Eden Noodle Box again!

The food is really reliable and tasty. I think its a bit on the pricey side, but then the serves are really big, there's no way I could eat one by myself, there's usually enough for lunch the next day, in which case it's pretty good value. They could consider doing smaller meals for those of us that have smaller appetites. The shops around here close stupidly crazy early, like 7.30pm but these guys stay open a beyond that ( I think the continue later because they supply Uber Eats) the food comes out fairly fast too. All in all good for what it is.

Disappointing compared to other Noodle Canteens.Prefer to go New Lynn.Called manager to give feedback with regards to no vegetables in the vegetable dishes and lack on chicken. Manager was far from receptive and in fact pretty rude.
