I've been with Pet Cover almost a decade, back when they were Pet Plan. The plans are brilliant, saved the life of my dogs on multiple occasions and the staff are empathetic and wonderful on the phone.

We have had our 4 yr old cat insured with pet cover since day 1. I've had previous claims with other cats and they were great. I highly recommend them for your loved pets. Great on cost and service.

Just received a policy renewal doc today for the economy policy. In my dog's lifetime, he has had 1 fractured nail. They will no longer cover him for another. He had a benign lump, any lumps are now exclusions. He had a 1 x gastroenteritis (every dog experiences this at some time in their lifetime and will need vet attention). With all these added to exclusions, and an increase in the policy price, I don't see any reason for using this provider! My advice to any policy owner - DO NOT GO FOR ECONOMY COVER! LIFETIME IS THE ONLY OPTION! It will cost you more in the end and gradually you will receive virtually no cover at a premium, like we have!

We highly recommend Petcover NZ for fellow pet lovers looking for cover for their furry friends. Petcover have always been so efficient and prompt, and extremely caring.

One things that stands out with their customer service is the total disconnect and lack of interest in engaging with potential customers which is actually very strange. All the other pet insurance companies are friendly and full of information and following up on our enquiries or online attempts at joining but not Petcover. They have so many bad reviews on Google that someone is bothering to respond but we wonder what the outcome of those responses are.Get your act together guys...if you want to continue to be in the Pet insurance business.

Really disappointed with my insurance from these guys. I rang to see if my policy for my cat that I took out a less than month prior covered the need for my cat to go to the vet (was checking for pre approval) and got told they couldn’t offer pre approval but that my policy covers what needed to be done, then I put through claim to find out that the 28 day stand down hadn’t been up yet. I would have EXPECTED the lady on the phone to have told me that before I spent the money to save my cat that I couldn’t afford. So disappointed! Will consider canceling now and go with someone else!

Total rip-off.Don't waste your money.No point in having insurance that you have to pay out yourself for a claim and then try and claim it back, put your premium money in a deposit account and just pay the vet bill yourself when you need it.In my opinion, the product they are selling is not fit for purpose, doesn't help when you need it and gives a false sense of security regarding the wellbeing of your pet.I WOULD GIVE A NEGATIVE 5 RATING IF IT WERE POSSIBLEThe only reason they get 1 star is that I can't post this without one.DEFINITELY ONE TO AVOID

I have received great customer service and clear communication from the Petcover Team. Easy to submit a claim, and was kept up to date on the process, taking out insurance for my puppy was best thing I could have done to keep him healthy and happy and to get the support we needed when we needed it :)

I am really impressed by this Pet Insurance provider. My boxer has had cancer among other illnesses that have required major surgery. My Huntaway Cross suffers from a skin irritation that requires expensive prescription drugs. The process is easy. Complete the forms, get the vet to complete their forms, email off to PetPlan and presto the claim in lodged. It takes them less than two weeks to assess. Having this insurance is invaluable and well worth the monthly payments. I have peace of mind knowing that I can afford to get the medical attention that my dogs need without worrying about the cost. 08/2019 Just had to use my insurance again for my Huntaway X and again I paid my $100 excess and the claims were accepted and paid out within one week of submission. This is outstanding service.
