Passion, that is the best way to describe their love for the farm and animals. We were so impressed, amazing! We learned so much and had fun feeding Pixi. Can definitely recommend this tour for everyone.

A family run farm tour business in real sheep and deer farms. You will have chance to see sheep shepherding, sheep sheering (if more than 4 booked) and feed little sheeps n deers. Lots of fun and the family is really nice. They serve you tea or coffee and muffins too.

Spectacular! We had an amazing morning at these 2 farms learning about New Zealand. The sheep shearing demo by Allen Oldfield included history and overall information on manual and hand shearing. Beaully Farms included bottle feeding lambs, sheep herding by their dog Missy and amazing scones, tea and coffee. The Deer genetics farm explained the business and took us into the field of 3-5 yr old stags. We finished with hand feeding a pet deer and a cuddle from a pet lamb. Fi, Fliss, and Allen answered our endless questions on New Zealand farm life. One of our very best stops!

We had a great time. The tour was fun and informative. A very authentic experience. Our kids loved feeding the animals and watching the shepherd dogs. Fiona and her family were extremely friendly and kind. We also enjoyed having tea and scones at their beautiful garden after the tour. I definitely recommend.

Come meet these fantastic ladies (and families.. cant forget the families) who invite you all into their lives and see the true back bone of New Zealand. They have a hands on approach to all aspects of farming and give you an indepth snapshot of how they tend to the farm. Great product and thank you again for the afternoon out.

We visited Geraldine Farm as part of an Odyssey tour (early April, 2023). If you're reading this, you probably know you can book directly with them if you're traveling on your own. This stop of about an hour on our 20-day tour was, for me, one of the top highlights. We loved the sheep dog demonstration, and those who hadn't witnessed sheep dogs in action before it was a great learning experience. For me, it was a nice refresher and I picked up some details I didn't know from watching sheep dog trials and demos before. I'm sorry to say I missed the name of the fellow who gave that demo. What I particularly loved was the talk and sheep-shearing demo that Phil Oldfield gave. Phil and his son Allan are a couple of the top shearers in the world. I was so impressed by Phil's knowledge and his ability to communicate it to us that I looked up their company, Shear Sharp NZ, and found that his son is equally engaging in videos he's done. Phil first talked with us about the history of sheep and their rather symbiotic relationship with humans over millennia, answering our questions along the way, and telling us about shearing by hand and with power clippers, and why he changed out of his shoes to a special pair of leather, um, moccasins." Then he gave us a demonstration of hand shearing

We had the most wonderful time with Felicia and the shearers! We toured the farm, watched sheep shearing close up and fed deer. The crew welcomed us with hot tea and fresh scones, and answered all of our questions. It's an easy detour from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo, and I would recommend this place to anyone who passes by the area.
