KIWI Nails & Spa Hobsonville Point

I was very excited to get my nails done as I keep passing this place and seeing all the reviews finally convinced me to try. However, personally I wouldn't come here again.Prior to coming in I had already let them know that my mum will have sns dipping powder while I was after nail art. However upon arriving and showing them the nail art, they said they wouldn't be able to do that. I did ask multiple times then what nail art can they suggest as I only came with that one picture on mind however we just kept going around in circles and thus led me to not get my nails done which is a bit disappointing.But because my mum loved the plain colour selections they had and got her nails done (which she hardly does) then that was brought my star rating just a bit higher.If I were to come back, I think it would be best to say that I would double check first the nail art picture I am after and then after confirmation if they can do it or not then would come back. But otherwise, this place would be good for those only after plain colours.

I am in town visiting family from NYC. Between traveling and another trip when I get home in a few days, I needed to get my nails done here in NZ before heading home.Found Kiwi Spa on Google and I am so impressed. I’m fully obsessed with the work done and am very happy.I requested a powder ombré with tips. The gentleman made sure everything was even and more importantly, very strong. The ombré is seamless and doesn’t look weird, and is also very even. Shaping was done well.The spa is beautiful, clean, and everyone is very friendly. Everyone worked very hard as they had some staffing issues and honestly, it was worth a very reasonable delay.The only thing I regret is not being able to take this salon back to New York with me. But now I know where to go when I come home. Thank you guys for everything!

Lovely manicures but the wait times are insane even when you've made a booking. Sometimes I would prefer if they would just be upfront and say yes we can fit you in but allow for two or so hours" sat there for over an hour choosing a colour then felt rushed because no one told specified what type of polish/powder I would need for my chosen design

Absolutely the best nail salon we have been to! Down to earth and humble staff I have ever met in a nail salon so far. My daughter wanted to get her nails done for her birthday and they did manage to book us an appointment in the last minute. They have delivered such an awesome service and my little girl was over the moon. Highly recommend. Will be back again for sure ❤️

Jenny and the team always provide the best service, my friend and I went in for acrylic with extensions and gel, and you cant find better than Kiwi nails for nail art and chrome, absolutely loved it! Amazing service for those new to nails too, the team offers great advice to suit what you want from your nails long term, I was a life long nail biter and Jenny helped me progressively extend the length(with my naturals growing underneath) and now I have the long pink claws of my dreams!

Checked all the good reviews and decided to make a booking. Booked at 4PM and not being serviced until 4:19PM, no complaints as they are all busy. Originally wanna a single gel color perhaps with glitters, but surprisingly knowing that they can do chrome mirror powder. Show them P1 then get P2…. Kindly checking with the young girl if she can do something as they are obviously not the same. She kept asking me what to do, I said I am no expert, but other salons where I usually go, they perhaps use a white gel underneath the power if she wanna try that. Then the older staff ( Tim) asked the young girl to stop. Keep waiting until Tim finished her another client, she asked what I want to do, I said I just want to get the same color as in P1, but she said she doesn’t know which gel and what white gel… I gave the same answer: I ain’t an expert but what other might do….. I also told her nicely if she cannot make the same color it is totally fine, I can change to a single gel color they have … and then she was super rude and angry to me….. I highly suggest the owner to check Tim’s mental health condition as I have no idea why I was treated by her like that. Lacking of skills is fine, but being rude and verbally aggressive to your client is another story. I have to be sitting angrily in the salon waiting the male staff to help removing the gel while she is smiling to other two older ladies. Such a nightmare! So don’t go there, awful customer service, bad skills.
