Colleen was rude and nosey asking irrelevant questions towards stay, check in time was 2pm she wasn't even there and office was closed i had to wait!There was hairs in the cups and bowls and were dirty,they were clearly rinsed in water and not even attempted to be washed! Really good considering were in a pandemic! Bed was hard as rock no flannels for the shower.We returned from having dinner down the road in town at around 8.30ish and soon as we entered the room, the phone rang which I answered. It was Colleen who asked In a insecure tone how we were and more to the point to state that everyone is quieting down now.

Great location and services for generously affordable price. Allan went out of his way to ensure my family had the best experiences staying in the motel. Can't say the same about Colleen though, she came across as distant and disinterested, which I found confusing. Still an excellent place to stay overall.

Very small unsound proofed. Damp smokey smell in the bathroom and can hear every word from the conversation from the guest next door. Wouldn't recommend if you want peace and quiet or couple time.

Location couldn't be better, so handy to CBD. Wonderful view, loved seeing trains and not as noisy as I thought it might be. The actual unit had a strange lay out, tiny bathroom, recently redecorated, kitchen needs updating but for one night not complaining, would return. Thanks for letting me use a hair dryer

Excellent host and location. Had everything I needed for my overnight stay. Clean and tidy. Easy walk to everything.

Everything was wonderful. Just wished there were power plugs closer to the bed as there were on 2 plugs in the deluxe room n.o 7. One for the fridge and one for the jug/heater. Other than that, was clean and tidy.

Yes also. Used. Stay here when was child. With my grand parents. Back 50 plus years ago. Stayed many times. Like it as old fashioned. John and me. Bought up my grand parents. We never thought of them being old. We had the best life. Traveling. NZ wide. Lovely to go back in time. And all memory's come flooding back. Used live here. 2000. And 1985. Faith. B. C.

After booking directly with 'host' Colleen I was told its $165 & I had to check in before 8pm. Travelled from Wellington to see my daughter, arrived in time only to be told rather gruffly that I wasnt allowed any visitors. Room was old & tired & noisy-could clearly hear folk in room next door, noise from the street & the unexpected trains just out front. Was woken twice, once by 3am train & again by my neighbors shower at 7am. Had a real WINZ emergency accommodation feel to it. Felt exposed & unsafe.
