What a fantastic shop! Lovely giftware, cushions, art and a beautiful selection of quality fabrics at great prices. Staff are so helpful and the large samples to take home on appro are wonderful to help with selections. Definitely recommend .

Love this place. Wonderful variety of fabrics, so much diversity, with many from Europe, and amazing value. Been a few times and really enjoyed the experience and friendly professional service. Will definitely be coming back and totally recommend to others!

European fabrics at bargain prices. We've shopped at Fabric House since the early days of operating from a room in a house. The company has moved on to greater heights, but continues to stick to its core values and provide customers with quality European fabrics at great prices. Today we purchased Laura Ashley 70% linen/30% cotton furnishing fabric for NZ$20 per metre. Highly recommended

Such a fantastic store. I recently had to get some new curtains for my living room. After searching all around Christchurch, I happened upon Fabric House at the Tannery. The range of fabrics and the quality was far superior to anything I had seen elsewhere. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable when I needed help deciding on fabric. They answered all my questions and were even able to help me get my curtains made. They offered some suggestions of nice lining and curtain rods. If you are looking for high quality affordably priced fabric this is the place to go. They also have some nice gifts and home ware. I will be returning to this shop for all my fabric in the future. Thank you Fabric House!.

Great fabric, but poor customer service. I asked for 4 pieces 1.70 cm each of the same fabric. Only after I paid for the order I realized they gave me 6.8 m whole piece and when I asked why got the answer we are not allowed to cut it"... There were two sales ladies and no other customers in the shop
