Vin Alto Restaurant and Functions
My partner and I came for dinner and had an amazing meal at this restaurant. The pork belly, scallops and rump lamb were both delicious. Nicky was outstanding being incredibly attentive, and made some great suggestions.Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Wow, such a lovely place. The food is great. I am very pleased with our experience. The kid steak set and eye fillet steak were very good. Clean and modern. There is nothing to complain about. Will visit again.

The food was amazing thanks to Chef Paul and his team. The best cooked crayfish ever! The service was spot on. You all made our day with such a superb lunch.

Warm and cozy restaurant with excellent service. Lad who was serving us was very attentive, he noticed us coming from the car park and opened the door as it was raining. Which was thoughtful. We ordered bread with marinated olives. Arrived hot off the oven and a large portion of olives and buffalo dip. For the mains lamb rump and market fish, lamn melted in your mouth and fish was seasoned well and soft yet firm. We also ordered Blue agave cocktail and a Savignon. Generous portions for everything. Our water glasses were kept full by the waitress with the lovely smile. When food was eaten, it was cleared in a timely manner so we didn't have dirty dishes in front of us. Atmosphere was beautiful and warm. Highly recommend.

Always incredible. You can't go wrong a Vin Alto the food, service, location and grounds never fail to impress! Try the degustation or al a carte it's always a cut above.

Was quite disappointed. Went for dinner for my birthday. Cocktails were bad and expensive for being so bad - and justified as we were later told they were premixed by the bartender from another branch! What!!? Food was average. Beef was better than the pork I had. The entire place was all smoked up and found it hard to breathe. Open kitchen and dining with a fire place but unsure why there wasn't good ventilation for the kitchen. Someone later opened a door to let in some fresh air- everyone in the restaurant were pleased for this. Also my entire outfit smelt like fried oil after leaving the place. Unfortunately won't be back!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Vin Alto Restaurant and Functions Venue on the evening of Sat 10th. The restaurant is located in a beautiful rural setting in Clevedon, just 40 minutes from Auckland CBD. The decor is elegant and modern, and the outdoor alfresco dining area is surrounded by olive trees and nature.The food was amazing, prepared by Chef Paul who used to work at Fish Hilton City. I started with Scallops and my partner had A taste of Clevedon with Buffalo Mozzarella. Both dishes were fresh and delicious. Then we shared a Whole Crayfish resh Crayfish with butter sauce, shallots, herb salad and charred lemon and a Pork Belly dish consisting of Pork Belly, sausage meat loaf, apple and raisin, roast celeriac, apple and red wine jus. The crayfish was succulent and the pork belly was tender with a duo of crackling. We were going to have the pineapple wonton for dessert but we were way too full.The service was friendly and attentive, and the wine list was extensive. We enjoyed a range of wines buy the glass, and the restaurant also offers a selection of international and local NZ beers and a number of the cocktails going out looked great.We had a great time at Vin Alto and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a special night out or a function venue. The restaurant is open for dinner on Friday and Saturday, and for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. You can also book it for weddings, parties, corporate events and other occasions. Vin Alto is a gem in the Clevedon hills and we can’t wait to go back.#1HospoReview

Outstanding dining experience at Vin Alto tonight.The service, food, selection of wine, and the ambiance of the restaurant, particularly the wood burning fire, was impeccable.Kudos to the chef there, BEST lamb I have ever tasted,..faultless!Cannot recommend enough.It’s 10 stars from us!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
