+ Very good, well maintained trails for all abilities- Signs could be a lot better! Quite often at an intersection only half of the trails have any signs.

Mountainbike heaven. This park offers trails for riders of every skill level. Trails have regular maintenance and because its a working forest, some trails disappear and new ones are created.The perfect place to forget about life's problems and hit the trails and have fun.

Some of the best mountain biking I've ever done! Amazing trails, magnificent views and well maintained tracks. Lots of banked corners and great signage. We rode the 33km loop on bikes hired from Torpedo7. Had the perfect day

Come a long way since we first used this forest for riding ... from the gravel car park with broken car window glass on the ground with not even a long drop toilet.. to a world class trail network....

We rode the lake loop (35 km) and took less than 5 hours with plenty stops and breaks.Rented full-suspension bikes from Mountain Bike Rotorua at Waipa car park.Overall I found pretty easy, wide and good flow of trails. It is a massive park comparing to other free MTB parks down in South Island.The first section (first 10km) was more climb than the rest of sections.Good view of bush and lakes.

Awesome concept and engineering of the park. It was an educational walk to learn the longetivity of the Redwood trees, biodiversity of New Zealand and steps be taken to protect it. Keep it up.

Whakarewarewa Mountain Bike Park
This is a massive mountain bike park. There is a trail for everyone, whether beginner, family or professional. Did the loop and it was some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen, especially the green lake. 35 km took 3hours and needed a good level of fitness. Afterwards, the secret spot allowed you to buy a beer and dip your feet into a hot tub - Magic.
