The Good Home Ferrymead
Probably one of the best fried chicken burgers I have ever had.Spent 3 days doing 16-18 hours work and then popped in here for a feed.Was a bit dissapointed that the waitress forgot our desert though.All in all, will come back here again as the food was great.

We booked the function room, which is free to book, awesome space, friendly staff who were very accommodating and delicious food. Great place will be back and definitely recommend for group bookings, especially if you want your own room. The owner was also very good to deal with, answered my questions and was very accommodating.

Sooo yummy steak and chicken waffle. The ambiance is so nice too.The sauce of the steak is so mouthwatering, me and my partner were addicted to it. I ordered the steak and it comes with, I think, sautéed veggies which taste and look fresh. They complimented the taste of the steak and the sauce. My partner got the chicken waffle one and their maple syrup was divine. Service was good too, lots of places to sit too so we didn't need to wait even if we did not do any bookings. The interior was unique and it has a welcoming vibe because of how big it looks. Over all two thumbs up for the food and service. Must visit again.

The food was delicious but we had to wait over an hour for our dinner and with 2 kids under 5 who were starving by this point, the delay in the food became a bit frustrating. People who arrived later than us got their meals before our table. After an hour, they came and told us our food would be delayed even more so we were contemplating on just leaving and getting takeaways. There was not even a reason given. If they had told us earlier the food would be late we would have ordered some chips or something for the table. We weren’t given an apology or some kind of discount after spending over $350. Next time I will just be cautious about coming here and ask upon arrival how long we can expect to wait for the food. If the food wasn’t so yummy, I probably wouldn’t come back.

Poor communication skills.Waiting 2 hours for our food would have been fine had our table actually been advised before-hand of the wait time and checked up on at least once during that time. We had one staff member come and tell us our tables orders would be the next out of the kitchen after being there for almost 2 hours. No apologies for the delay, no reasoning as to why it took so long. It felt as if they were annoyed at us for still being there waiting for our meals. The food was delivered sporadically to our table and I had finished my meal before the last meal had reached the table. Very disappointing as this is usually our go-to for family meals.

Never eat here unless you like waiting 90 minutes for food and seeing all the tables around you, who ordered after you, being served first. The staff will then explain how to you how this is your fault of course.Some additional facts in response to the managers reply below:- arrived 12:25- no staff taking our order until 12:51- food arrives 2:13- multiple people served who ordered after us (they spoke to us and mentioned how poor it was)- asked where the food was and got a rude response from the manager who wanted to show us the lineup in the kitchen. I refused to attend the kitchen with the manager.- lamb meal ordered without olives but was served with olives- kids meal had 3 tiniest pieces of chicken I’ve ever seen- side of fries for $6 was severely over priced- the bar manager came and apologied (not the restaurant manager who has replied to this post)- this is the second time we’ve waited so long for food at this venue, hence our frustration and making a complaint (which I’ve never felt compelled to before)- we will not be back

We would not recommend this restaurant. We waited 2 hours for our food and were not communicated with about there being a long wait time, or if there was a shortage in staff. No proper apology was given either. Our wait was so long that our 2 children didn't get their lunch meals until after 3pm. At this point children's meals were supposed to be free. They refused to do this as we ordered at 1pm.Very disappointed and will not be returning. This was no way to run a business.

Took over 2 hours to get our food served, and they served tables who went in after us. Our meals also had a huge difference of when we received ours with half the table before finished before others recieved food. We nicely asked the waitress how much longer we'd be waiting but got a rude reply. The table behind us was still waiting when we left. There was no reason given for the delay or even warning about wait time. Disappointed in the service as is normally good :(
