Very fun experience! My group of 4 adults did the Galactic Cantina, and it was cutely decorated, and had interesting challenges to solve. The on duty manager was friendly and responsive to our questions. Would definitely visit again next time we are in Auckland

Great first experience with escape rooms. Staff was good and gave us some extra time so we could finish the puzzles. Would recommend for a rainy day in Auckland CBD

We were a group of 12 (aged between 25-35) and every single person had great fun and raved about the amazing experience. Even the quiet ones got rallied up in the discussions! We did the Old School rooms. Amazing props and clues. There were nerves going in but every code and clue was doable. Definitely a great team building event. Also want to commend the staff who are absolutely friendly from the first greeting to the farewell. Thank you for your patience with one of our teams hundreds of clues LOLI'm very impressed with Zavier who I corresponded with via phone and email for booking. He was quick, extremely helpful and very clear with instructions both written and over the phone. To make our lives easier, we ordered 3 of the large pizza's from Presto directly through Escapade - they were ready for us when we finished the rooms and those pizza's were an absolute hit, we didn't even finish it. Thank you Escapade NZ! We look forward to returning!

Consistently great experiences with these rooms. They are fun and clever and kept in good shape and the puzzles are doable, without being too easy or too hard. My top pick for escape rooms in AKL for sure.

Great experience: unique puzzles + friendly staff!I was playing solo, and Jemma & Tamrin were extremely helpful in explaining which rooms would be best for a solo player, as well as working out some trickiness with booking times :) One of the rooms did require a partner for one puzzle, but Claire (another awesome staff member) jumped in to help me out.Overall, the rooms are all well-designed and moderately difficult, with some fun themes & really unique puzzles. Highly recommended for all experience levels!If your group has a decent amount of experience, I’d probably recommend a smaller group (4 or fewer), since most of the rooms were relatively linear (only 1 puzzle can be worked on at a time). Larger groups would probably be best in The Bach or Old School (where puzzles could be done in parallel much of the time).The Tavern + Galactic Cantina are the most “3rd gen” escape rooms here — relying heavily on the theme + lots of electronic/mechanical puzzles + some truly unique puzzles (and I've done a LOT of escape rooms) — definitely my favorites!The Bach + Old School are a little more traditional — though still very fun / well-themed. (I preferred The Bach of these two, and either would be great for beginners.)The Boathouse sits somewhere in-between the two groups above, and was especially “hands-on”.Without giving too much away, there are some interesting tactile puzzles across nearly every one of the rooms — involving the use of liquid, lights, magnets, hardware tools, etc.Some small negatives — across the entire set of rooms, there were:- Two puzzles that required some (very basic) knowledge that likely anyone from NZ would have, but I didn’t- Two puzzles that might be difficult (impossible?) for someone with certain colorblindness- Never more than 2 sub-rooms within a given room — but this actually wasn’t a big drawback (there was plenty to do!), and my favorites were actually only 1 sub-room

Super super fun and the staff were so friendly and helpful! Great first time experience. I had been wanting to do an escape room for a long time and this really exceeded my expectations!

We did the Galactic Cantina room and had a lot of fun, we've done a lot of escape rooms and found this to be really challenging, a lot of unique puzzles we haven't seen before, will definitely return if we are back in the area! Escaped with 1 minute left on the clock! Staff were all super lovely :)

An excellent escape room centre! We did The Bach room and it was really well set up and the puzzles were interesting (but not incredibly hard). I would definitely go back to try another room!

We did an online game (Nova) with the Escapade team and we had such an amazing time -- it was all of our first times playing a virtual escape event and the session was so fun and the process was super easy. Would highly recommend a Virtual Room for a fun teambuilding exercise!
