Mill Lodge

Good value for money, and well located and close to most shops. Walking distance to Sky city and other restaurants and pubs in the area. Rooms were neat, and had enough space for a family, bathroom was clean. Wifi signal was good, and all the appliances worked well. Could do with some extra cutlery

Room pretty old, had a room with Spa toilet and shower, although it was quite a squeeze between the toilet to get into the shower, the overhead shower was bit dirty needing cleaning. Toilet paper was thin and not pleasant to use. It did have a funky smell thou. No soap, or shampoo provided the extra blankets could be placed in a better place not ontop of the cupboard collecting dust. Worse of all there stains on the towels. Luckly i took my own. Reception Guy was pleasant and very friendly and welcoming.

Pretty budget hotel room. Toilet paper was this terrible, scratchy, thin stuff. Shower had no shampoo or conditioner.Booked for 3 guest and had a double and single bed in the same room. The double bed was alright, though had a pretty obvious dip in it. The single bed was terrible. Matress was so warn down with a huge dip in the middle, as the springs had obviously worn right down. Not a good night sleep.Kitchen had a mini fridge and microwave which was good, though I thought it was pretty cheeky of them to expect guests to do the dishes, considering it's typically part of the motel service.Furnishings and decor needed updating. Paint was peeled off the walls, marks had not been washed off and one of the chairs was broken at the back.Traffic noise was very loud at night, so not the best location for light sleepers.Overall not very impressed with our experience.

This was a lovely motel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly. Its the closest I've come to home away from home. Notably the heat pump was super quiet and the bed very comfortable. The bench top was worn and you could see the toilet was recently replaced as the lino was missing around the base, but this was very minor and the positives far outweighed this. The location was also very convenient, the city centre within walking distance and a supermarket just across the road.

We loved our stay. Accomodated our family of 2 adults 3 children and an infant. Loved the bathroom, fresh and the whole stay was very enjoyable. Even though you are extremely close to main roads, it was relatively quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Located near a busy intersection, Mills Lodge is one of many 3 star motels located in Hamilton. I booked here for one night.There is one parking spot per unit, and vehicle entry is possible both from the north and east side of the building.Reception was nice, and offered milk for use to mix with tea and coffee. You are given a key alongside with a tag that indicates the room number, upon entry the room looks clean.There are unfortunately no basic amenities such as toothbrushes but soap and towels are provided on site. There is no hair conditioner and no reception phone in the unit.Power points are scattered oddly throughout the room and most importantly there are none between the main table where doing work may prove difficult.In the kitchen cutlery and plates are greasy, while some utensils are bent. There are no gas/induction/heated stovetops in this unit but you are provided with a microwave, fridge and kettle.The curtain rails are bent where light can leak and the curtain material has holes from years of fatigue.Furthermore the location of the motel is in a very busy intersection where loud motorcycles and vehicles make sleeping in the night quite difficult for a sensitive sleeper.Most importantly, there are bed bugs in the unit. I was unfortunate to receive a fair share of bites, which annoy me to this very moment. I find it unacceptable for a motel to not have it's pests under control.There is thankfully free WiFi on site, but it is only shared VDSL which after a speedtest returned downloads of 9Mbps. Surprisingly, you can stream YouTube videos with mild stuttering.Check out is 10AM the next day.Unfortunately even with good staff, with bad management I personally would not recommend this place for anyone even on a budget.

Love this place would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. The room we stayed in was nice and warm and it had everything you need in the kitchen. Its affordable and the manager was even up late to wait for us to check in as we were travelling from Auckland. Love how there was another room inside with two singles for those who wants a quiet and peaceful sleep and a double in the main lounge if u wanna watch tv. My husband and I will love to come here again. And our parking was right in front of our room even more better. Thank you

Nice clean and very central. Great value. Double bed a bit soft but single nice and firm. Great walking distance to grocery and eateries. Right by the stadium. Limited TV channels and needs a connection upgrade.

Overall comfortable stay,, central location and friendly staff. Unfortunately bed linen was stained and my email request for return of my phone charge left behind in my room has been ignored.
