The owner is a cool guy and respectful. But we decided that he would do two different clippers to fade on the sides but ended up using just one clipper size all the way on the sides which looked like a novice job. Had to cut the sides shorter myself after coming home.

Best barber in Auckland!I’ve had many good barbers over the years in cities from London to Melbourne, but Mike is right up there as one of the best.Great guy, good prices, nice coffee, cool place and best of all a fantastic cut! Also great for the kids, they love it.Highly recommended.

We take our two boys for their haircuts here. Mike is super thorough and communicates clearly with the boys to ask what they want. He was very flexible to fit them in with their last appointment, which I was grateful for.

Mike was a really chill dude but hasn’t done a good job on my hair. To his favour I do have 3 crowns which makes my hair a tad bit complicated. Having said it in advance he left the top of my head untouched which looked really silly and I had to go to another place to get my hair redone. I did ask him to go shorter but he refused.As to this place, if you have simple hair go for it but if you have thicker than average ethnic(Indian in my case) hair maybe go up the street to BarberShopCo. The website said that the hair cut included a hot towel too but I wasn’t offered this during my session.

Overall im quite disappointed with the haircut from Mike. I was expecting better after the high rating on google. The beer and friendly chat was good but after being in the chair for a full 1 hour I felt like Mike could talk all day but attention to detail of the haircut was lacking. I asked for a number 1 on the sides and back but it is still very long in those areas and around the ears not that tidy either. There is no fade whatsoever. I think Mike needs to spend more time focusing on cuting hair and less time on the chat. For $40 you expect a good haircut but ive had better ones for $15 - I Won't be back unfortunately.

Truly a hidden gemNot only did I receive probably the best haircut I've ever had, but he gave me tips for managing my hair which have been an absolute game changer. For the past week I've been getting comments marveling about how much better I look and that I look like a different person. This has never happened before, so best believe this is my go to from now on.I don't really write reviews, but my lord does this place deserve one.(Almost forgot to mention that I got a coffee on arrival, make that 6 stars)
