Everything about this restaurant is fantastic! From the greeting and friendly chit chat from the front of house staff, to the atmosphere and view, makes this a special place.As for the food…..The Steak…..SPOT ONSeafood Chowder…..DIVINEKids Fish n Chips…..PERFECTMade me feel so happy! Can not wait to come back next time we are in Nelson. Thank you.

Great view with friendly staff. Few Gluten free food options, and good selection of food. Prices were not bad and wait time was pretty quick. Would recommend a swing by even just for a drink to enjoy the view

I would like to rate Boathouse down due to a very disappointing experince with a dessert. I ordered Sticky Date Pudding when visiting a wonderful puppet show there and received a tiny half slice of date bread. It did not taste bad, but it highly underpassed my expectations based on being a big fan of the dessert called Sticky Date/Toffee Pudding. Other than the poor portion size and the lack of stickiness, the price of the dessert (15 dollars) made my experience even more annoying considering the value of the food item.

We have captured many beautiful weddings at the Boathouse in Nelson! The views looking out over the water are stunning, and you can often catch a beautiful sunset from the deck. The inside is quite spacious, white walls, wooden floors and a little bit of character makes this venue such a charmer and we have found the Boathouse staff so always be so helpful and friendly. We cannot wait to capture another wedding at The Boathouse again very soon.

You can't get a location much better than this. It's almost in the harbor. We were a big group but they handled the orders superbly. Top staff. Food was good too.

Delicious scrambled tofu on asparagus and bread for a great price! Was too good to stop and take a photo before eating the majority. Beautiful spot on the deck as well!
