I got large hanya mask, and partial cover up on my lower back, and on to my buttock. It was also to connect to a previous piece. Mike Todd was easy to work with. There was no awkwardness about where he was tattooing which was reassuring.Nice, clean work. Beautiful lines, and exactly what I wanted.Love the premises. Clean and well presented. I would go back, and definitely recommend it.

Have had tattoos from a few places in Wellington now, and Monarch has been my best experience by far. Mike is friendly and welcoming, and goes out of his way to make sure you’re happy and comfortable, and of course has great skills. The shop is super clean and tidy too. I’m sure I’ll be back again. Got an amazing thigh piece done here, and will definitely be back for more. The shop is super clean and the artists were all very friendly and made the time fly by.Highly recommend popping in if you’re ever walking by as they’re always willing to go over any your ideas whilst adding their unique flair.I’ve had so many people come up to me and be blown away by what Mike created, super recognisable and looking even better as time goes by somehow!

I have been coming to Monarch tattoo for the last 5 years and would never go anywhere else. Absolutely love my Japanese style tattoos by Mike, 10/10 would recommend. I get so many compliments on my tattoos which includes an amazing full back piece. Love the vibe of the place ❤️

Great studio, walk in was easy and fast. First tattoo experience, really friendly and nice artist. He took his time, listened to me and made my tattoos perfect. 11/10 would do again.

I've been lucky enough to get tattooed 4 times at Monarch and each visit It's been a great experience. THe shop itself is immaculately clean, the team are very welcoming and most importantly The art looks great (now a few years on).
