Trulux Greenhouses

I researched all the greenhouses on offer in NZ, looked carefully at the sites available on my property and thought long and hard about whether to go glass or twin wall poly. I finally decided to go with the Trulux Maxi model on the grounds it met all my preferences and placed the order in early August 2015.The project is now complete (early September) and I can honestly say it was a lot of fun and an extraordinarily positive experience. Apart from the concrete base (which a local builder installed) I assembled and constructed the entire greenhouse single handed. Best of all I now have a valuable, attractive and very functional green house to hone my gardening skills in over many years ahead.The design and manufacturing quality of the product is absolutely top notch - even down to the protective packaging it comes in. The aluminium extrusions are precision formed and cut, the simple integral hex head bolt and nut system that locks the whole structure together is a work of genius and the glass is all chamfered and smoothed so it is safe and easy to handle.When I first saw the size of the glass roof panels I had second thoughts about completing the job on my own. I had visions of standing on ladders and manoeuvring 1.8 m long panes of glass overhead. Not ideal at my age. I even thought about asking a professional glazier to give me a hand. Come the day to install the glass panes I discovered you just stood on the ground and slid them up the pre-formed grooves in the roof bars until they dropped into place .... too easy!Being a very average DIYer I thought the manual could be a bit more descriptive. I found it helpful to read right through the next stage of the project the night before. On the other hand the entire construction system is very forgiving and mistakes only ever take a couple of steps backward to fix. Furthermore, Trulux operates an amazing 24 hour help desk known as Clint. No problem is too small for Clint.This weekend we had a Greenhouse warming party to celebrate the completion of the project. It was a chilly 10 degrees outside at 6 on Saturday afternoon but with 20 of us crammed in the greenhouse it was warm enough for the automatic vents to open. Brilliant.Any regrets??? Yes I already miss the lovely old persimmon tree I had to remove to make way for the Maxi. I am consoled by the thought of planting another persimmon very shortly and enjoying its fruits in a year or two. In the meantime I take great satisfaction from having built such a beautiful and functional greenhouse. Thanks Trulux.

Totally impressed with this company, I had a glasshouse delivered to my house in Rangitikei and unfortunately the carrier accidentally broke one pane of glass. After contacting Trulux they personally delivered a replacement pane at no cost. Love my new glasshouse.

If you a serious gardener who wants fresh veges all year round, this is the best product. High quality and built to last. You wont be disappointed.

This is an excellent product. But just as important - the people who sell it and service it are also excellent. At one point I was having some bother - I emailed my problem and I got sent a video the same day, showing me what I should be doing. Highly recommended

Late 2014 We bought a Trulux Mini (8x6). The assembly was very easy and the glasshouse is very solid, and has stood up well to some wild Whitianga weather in that time. I have just retrofitted extra shelving and this too was very easy and solid. An excellent product which we are happy to recommend.

Bought a netting popadome 18 months ago, and the netting is falling apart. On contacting Trulux was told just to buy a new one. At their price I am not prepared to buy a new one every 18 months. Most unhelpful person at the end of the phone
