Pirie Street Calisthenics Park and Play Area
Really like this park. Always parking and a good variety of things for a few different ages to play on. Has a smallish grass area and basketball hoop as well. Walks in Mt Vic start right from here so you can have a play and a walk in one outing. Possibly the best bit is that its sheltered from the strong Wellington wind. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that the equipment is getting a touch old and could do with a refresh.

The Pirie Street play ground is a small but well formed park. There's play stuff (which doubles as exercise equipment for the kids, (swings, climbing stuff, monkey bars and a slide), a basketball hoop, a nice grassy spot (with a seat and table), and access to some of the best trails in the city on mount Victoria

Almost 3 year old a bit old for the small (fenced) play structure and too young for the bigger structure. Had fun going up and down stairs and slides, and on the swings. Stop on our way down from Mt. Victoria trails.
