This is rustic golf in the Hawkes Bay. If you find yourself driving to Cape Kidnappers from Taupo, along State Highway 5, look out for Te Pohue Golf Club as part of your warm-up.There is a beautiful use of the land to provide the local community with a golf course with various elevations, an assortment of hole challenges await along with a local feel and cool hole names. Get in amongst the local wildlife and play the 9 holes on offer - you will not be disappointed.

Excellent disc course. Friendly golfers and felt very welcome. Honesty box for cash and bank transfer details on site. Highly recommend for disc players

Went just after Christmas. No flags on the greens lost balls on the fairway, flagged it after 2 holes.

Great golf course. A bit hilly so prepare for a hike but worth it for the views.

This will be long. I went there for Disc Golf and was not disappointed, red layout requires some massive shots and lots of control. Be warned you are playing a back country golf course. The rough was rough but not so hard that I could not find my disc. You will be playing around sheep and lots of sheep poo so take spare shoes and clothes. I'd say it is not cart friendly as their are massive undulations upto 6 floors worth so you will be hiking it. My only thing was no bridge between hole 7 basket and hole 8 tee. The disc golf fairways could do with a mow also and maybe some tree pruning to make it a little more open for a variety of shot shapes and player styles. Stunning course views, Great course and only $10 green fee was worth every second to be there. I will be back soon.
