Excellent and prompt service for a walk in non-resident. They also managed to squeeze me in last minute even though they technically didn’t have room in the schedule because I was leaving Christchurch that evening. Highly recommended!

If you’re aged don’t go here. They have dropped my elderly mother because she complained she wasn’t being listened to by the doctor The dr prescribed medication she was allergic to, then when my sister tried to talk to the practice manager about the dr not listening and prescribing the wrong medication she was told older people get racist and to find a new practice. There is no excuse for bad practicing and vile accusations. Doctors read the patients notes and listen to your patients no matter what age they are.

The receptionist lost my enrollment form twice! (!!!), then there were many confusions about how much I need to pay for the first time. Such a mess.I wanted to enroll there because my friend recommended one of their doctors, but he just forwarded me to a female doctor" because he didn't want to deal with breastfeeding issues. I thought I would see her just once

Such a disappointment that what used to be a magnificent medical practice with quality nurses, reception, & GP's has now become a place for 10 minute prescription writers to ply their trade. My sadness cannot be understated.New GP's from overseas with no understanding or care for the client base they purchased as part of the practice have made this a place to avoid. The old faces remain good doctors, but expect little to nothing from the new ones who seem to be there for 'easy work' only. There are good GP's in CHCH but this is no longer one of them.

While I’ve always had good experiences with the nurses here the doctor I saw was truly careless and rude.Rachelle Pound was specifically recommend to me as a GP with experience in mental health. I cannot stress enough to avoid seeing her if you’re needing help with mental health as her lack of empathy or understanding absolutely astounded me. Not only do I doubt her experience with mental health I really don’t think she should be working with people at all.I don’t want to dive in to my medical details but it takes a lot to open up to a doctor and ask for help and it really was all for nothing. Rachelle ignored many of the concerns I brought to her, and when I politely questioned why her suggestions contradicted or ignored what I’d told her about my condition, I was kicked out of my appointment for “abusive language” and made to pay full price despite receiving no care. This was a shocking 180 from our new patient appointment where she seemed to listen and take on my concerns.Rachelle showed no sympathy for her actions and while the nursing and reception staff were apologetic she personally didn’t even make an attempt to apologise. She wasted my time, my money, and my energy all which were already fairly limited due to my health concerns and I now don’t feel comfortable continuing to attend this clinic as a result.

I have been going to this practice for 4 years, and overall had positive experiences. I found Doctors and nurses empathetic and helpful, Particularly DRs Pearson and Schroder

After 25 years of quality health care, my dear GP Dr. Thwaites deservedly retired. I wish her every happiness & my deep gratitude for maintaining my good health & well-being as I approach my 60's. This contrasts sharply with the total absence of care I recieved from her replacement Dr. Rachelle Pound.I was sent packing after two consultations & I no longer have a doctor at a time in my life when I need one.

Very happy with joining The Christchurch Doctors. The staff are lovely (My doctor is very caring and approachable, and the nurses are always super friendly). The admin staff are nice too. There's normally not much of a wait which is great as well (not always but most of the time!)Keep up the great work :)
