Advanced Movers

The worst experience I have ever had with movers. I called them to know their rates as their website said nothing about their rates and asked them whether they had hidden fees and the lady on the phone said no and she said nothing about charging us their driving time too! but their hourly charge was $189 per hour.I ended up paying their trips in their truck from the time they left Porirua to the time they went back to Porirua! They did the job in 2.15 hrs but asked us to pay for 3.75 hrs as they got stuck in traffic 1hr and anothe 1/2 hr going back to Porirua.I wouldn't accept moving with them if it wasn't their misleading info when I called their administration. The lady on the phone got my name wrong and got my email wrong and called her back and she still got my email wrong and she was very rude then I called them the third time and the guy who answered the phone was so angry just because I said to him you shouldn't be giving your costumers wrong info. The workers themselves were alright. It's their management that was unprofessional, rude and misleading. I won't recommend them.

The administration wasn’t good - they lost our original booking and we rescheduled for a different day, but then they got the address wrong on the paperwork, sent the movers five hours early, and got our bill wrong. They did eventually rectify these mistakes but it was a difficult process. The actual movers themselves were very good and handled everything (including a piano) well.

Absolutely horrible service. Emailed to assist with moving, I had to follow up as they had somehow missed my reply email, they finally gave me a date and price for moving and then they never replied even after multiple emails to confirm time of pick up. Was trying to support local business but this was an absolute waste of time! Unreliable.

Really bad experience. Called to book, and then they said they wanted an email, which was fine. Wrote the email out with all the details required. Received a reply email saying they could do the move on the date wanted. I replied saying that sounds good. Morning of the move came and they had never booked it in, disregarded my email saying the time worked, and never got my piano shifted.

Many thanks to everyone at Advanced for the very professional way in which my move was carried out. It was a difficult job involving an expensive grand piano and lots and lots of stairs for it to be carried up at the receiving end. I would like to say a special thanks to Bruce and his team for making the job so simple for me. And I am happy to report that there has been no damage to anything. So thank you again from a happy customer.

The guys did a fantastic job moving our home contents. Bruce, Tyson and Tali packed that truck so we'll we got more into one load than we thought possible, saved us money. They also had to navigate a narrow road, and tricky driveway. This was 5th time I had used Advanced Movers but the biggest job. Great service. Not one item scratched or broken.
