An absolutely perfect night out! Service just right, meals really yummy and the drinks excellent. Busy but well managed, the staff were lovely. Just such a highlight of our holiday in Mangawhai. Can accommodate bigger groups but just super for couples. Would pay to book.

Friendly and timely service, even though they were busy. Reasonable food and drink prices. We went for lunch and would have liked more of a selection of lunch type food. This would make the Corner Bistro even better. Keep up the good work guys, we'll be back.

The food and service were excellent. We were very impressed with the range and quality of our meals and would recommend the Corner Bistro as one of the better options for dining out in beautiful Mangawhai. We can't wait to come back to sample more of the menu ☺

Nice. Great food and service. It was busy enough to know it was a good place to eat (12:30), yet we got a quiet table outside. The kingfish risotto and the ceviche were top class.Definitely recommend it.

The venue is nice but the location isn't stunning or beautiful.Food was quick to arrive, simple and tasty.Service was efficient but not a lot of vibe and friendliness

Food prices have gone up steeply since an ownership change and some of their bakery stuff can be quite stale. However, some of the French menu items are still on the menu, like a yummy onion soup.

Nice food with a distinct Franco File flavor. A recommended place with nice taste food, well presented and not too expensive. The Anchovy Bruchetta was an unexpected delight.Support locals providing quality. Worth a try even if you are here for the beach.

The service at this place is excellent. The staff (particularly the man that served us) did some things that I rarely see in the service industry. When I asked for a small flat white, he came back with 2 or 3 sized cups and asked me which one I wanted - I had forgotten to specify a tulip cup (the smallest size) and I thought it was awesome that he checked with me. Secondly, after we finished eating he hovered near the table waiting to approach us to check on how we were doing, staying a couple of metres away waiting for the right moment to interrupt us. I love this. It’s suave and it’s socially savvy. People hate being interrupted and just waiting a sec for the right moment is something tiny but significant.So I just wanted to call them out for those little things. The place itself is great, the new covered outdoor area is great and the food is great. I thought their blackboard writing was amazing too, whomever writes up the blackboard menu has some serious chalk skills!Lastly, if you want to just have a quick cheap snack, their cabinet food is very good value. Now that I know this, I’m going to make this one of my regular lunch stops.Keep up the awesome work, Corner Bistro!
