Pyro Fires - Energy Efficient, Low-Emission Fireplaces

We installed our pyroclassic logburner about 7 years ago and we are still happy with it. We had a bit of glitch at one point with smoke oozing out of the log burner but Pyroclassic was ever so willing to go through with us to find out what is actually going on. Eventually it was because our firewood was not dry enough.It has kept our 283sqm house warm (taking into consideration our home is well insulated etc). Easy to light and heats real quick, cook on it and of course not forgetting the low emission

A very efficient wood fire, highly recommended. Would buy it again! Flue has very little soots deposited when using Douglas fir firewood.

The Pyroclassic IV is my favourite wood burner out of several burners I’ve owned.I’ve been able to get 12 hour burn times using good blue gum. Dry wood is essential to get the most out of this fire.Cleaning the flue is a little bit trickier for chimney sweeps and they may need to clean it from the roof.

At first learning how to best light it (guidlines didn't work for me, I leave the close off handle slightly loose until it is burrning well and I do not take notice if it mildly chuffs,) and maximise build up for overnight. Mine is a Pyroclassic IV, it would have been better to have had a larger diameter 'flu. Once lit is is also best to keep it going which you can do if managed well. Great water heater.

Great Fire, we burn it hot with Blue Gum. I love the fact I can get half metre lengths of wood into it, we live in Fiordland so over Winter its burning non stop, with the cook top getting a lot of use for soups etc.

Great fire. This is the third one I've installed and all are going well. These are extremely efficient fires that use a minimal amount of wood. The workmanship and quality of components is very good. Friendly helpful service from the supplier.

We have owned and regularly used a Pyro Classic 4 wood-burner for around ten (10) years. It has performed really well and is economical when using properly dry wood. I would certainly recommend it for any domestic user wanting really good ambient warmth. (It does not heat up quickly, but is excellent in providing lovely warmth over a long period.)

Our Pyro ‘mini’ fire is just perfect for our small house. It’s quick to get going with the meths firestarter, especially in winter. The heat stays in the fire box well after the fire is out, keeping warmth in the house longer.It’s good to cook on and boil a kettle.

We're stoked with our pyro classic. I recommend you follow the guide for starting the fire. I smoked out our place twice with the paper and kindling teepee structure, then switched to the horizontal stacked method described. Worked perfectly... I guess the draw of the fire from front to back doesn't support the teepee approach. Happy to learn something new though... Have cooked a great stew on the top using a dutch oven on a trivet. Definitely need the trivet given how much heat is thrown off. Lastly, keeps our place toasty all night if banked up with gum, kanuka or old pine. Have bought a stove top fan - would definitely recommend that too...disperses the heat around the room silently. Couldn't be happier.

The fire is an awesome addition to the home. Very efficient with the wood, a powerful heat source for the whole building and still burns overnight with ease. Great product, would thoroughly recommend it.
