Spotlight Hamilton

Good friendly staff who are willing to assist. A Big store in size and has everything you need. Lots of different counters based in products categories. Ample parking space in front and conveniently located on Te Rapa Road (corner Garnett Ave). You will truly get better bargains than Briscoes and the Warehouse where there are specials. Do pay attention of the brands of products as some of them do not last and when you call the store it goes to a call centre where staff not all that helpful. Highly recommended to visit this store.

Not my favourite place in the world but my wife loves shopping here and a happy wife makes for a happy life!Seriously though we found the perfect cushions after a long time searching for materials to recover what we had but the reality was the cost of replacement was cheaper than material, zips etc. plus time so it was a no brainer!!

Huge store for all sorts of things, from fixing a hole in the shirt up to organizing a party. It sells a variety of sewing machines, cloths and the like. Customer service is decent and nice. It has plenty of parking space. Not too many toys though, so kids may be a bit disappointed.

Overcharged by $14. Noticed before leaving the store. Quietly it to the attention of the cashier who gave me the run around. “You’ll have to go to the back of the store.” The spotlight staff member on the door then interjected and confirmed that the charged price was not correct. I received a shrug of the shoulders and “pfft” from the cashier. A “Really? I can’t be bothered attitude” from the cashier. Totally unnecessarily. Not a pleasant shopping experience at all!

Good parking, for larger vehicles also.It's worth being VIP member for the discounted rates.It was busy but not much of a wait.

My happy place when it comes to shopping. The layout is possibly eclectic or just random, and the staff know where to find anything I ask about. Would be a great place to work, but there does not seem to be other men employed. It's a fun place.

Hamilton and the customer service center is the worst service ever, I had to call an Auckland store and the lady there was awesome! As for Hamilton... No way to get through on the phone, no option to leave messages, have complained in past still no change. Customer service line is just as usless, they responded back with the 1 option that I have already said isn't available as the store refuses to answer the phone, no response to me pointing out the lack of logic and asking for a helpful solution, just left it with zero resolutions. SENDING ME IN CIRCLES, ABSOLUTELY USLESS!!!I got sick after placing a click and collect and can't even get in contact to ask them to hold it and they are telling me to contact the store to sort it on a no reply email or it will be put back on the shelves and refunded, so how can I contact them like they are saying to with ano reply email and no phone line to call them or leave a message.... My welcome voucher is non refundable so I miss out because of all this. The 0800 number is pointless... customer service line that offers zero customer service. What an absolute joke! Get yourselves together spotlight Hamilton and service center... Auckland is the best!

I was so impressed with the service I recently received at the Hamilton Spotlight store…I was incredibly flustered at the counter as I was with my kids, had a lot of purchases and there was a big line waiting behind me - and the lady serving me was super helpful and understanding. She was calm and reassuring, and I left the store feeling very grateful for the experience!

Huge selection, which should make it a great store. Staff are self focused and customer service is not good. This usually indicates poor management.
