Very impressed. Fantastic Irish pub in Wellington. Great service excellent food. Even a wonderful bar tender that will help you out. Glad we stumbled across this gem for lunch. 10/10 Highly recommend.

We bopped in just to get out of the rain. It was mid to late afternoon and it wasn't very busy, but the staff was very friendly. I had a beer and my wife had a cider and we continued on our journey.

In Wellington on holiday and looking for a place to have lunch (under Covid lock downs not an easy task). Came across Jack Hackett's after passing a few other places and glad we did (skip the others and come in here). The bar was very Irish / English feeling (I should know spent plenty of time in both) and the Gunnies was spot on. Ended up having the full breakfast and the other half had the chicken wings and Jalapeno poppers. All the food served was well presented and lovely. Wish this was our local as the evening events / bands looked interesting. Next time in Wellington we'll defiantly come back in.

Booked a table for UFC on the 3rd of July for 12pm, was running late and when we arrived staff advised that they gave table away after being 30 mins late. Extremely disappointing considering that table was obviously booked for UFC event which doesn’t start until 2pm. Poor service and disinterested staff, not even a courtesy call. Poor experience considering I’ve booked tables regularly in the past and usually not bang on time and never received this experience.

Nice friendly atmosphere and good staff. The food was very good and there was lots of it. The only niggle was the specials board said what I had was the special and I got charged full price but apparently there was a catch to getting it at the reduced price. Maybe that needs to be spelled out on the board. Will be back though.

Nice lunch with the family. Had to improv some bar snacks for the kids, but they were happy with chips and chicken nibbles. WOAP burger was great.

Absolute gem of a place.Visited on on Sunday, a nice quiet night the manager George was brilliant as was his staff.Had the roast dinner (beef) best I've ever had in ages.Loads of sports on TV, s.The management and staff treat you so well, you don't feel like a stranger.If you're in Wellington, head for this place, you won't be disappointed.5 stars ⭐
