Really a wonderful place to stay.Ended up here by chance after a nearby hotel (Fable) messed up our booking and had to get us a room here as they had no more.Stylishly designed with an efficient and aesthetically pleasing use of space, it earns its right to have 5 stars. The reception is oddly dressed down/deconstructed, very informal without being unprofessional or inappropriate for the setting. The decor is lovely.Rooms are very spacious. Coffee in particular is roasted locally and ground on site, offered in room with pour over facilities - amazing!The attached cafe is also absolutely awesome, and reasonably priced for the quality of food and drink you get. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at this very nice hotel. The room and amenities were excellent.However I am left with a bad taste in my mouth post departure when they decided to charge us $500 for a smoking fine without notifying us beforehand or trying to clarify the situation. We are non smokers and we NEVER smoked nor carried ANY form of cigarettes with us during our stay and now after trying to reach out to them to try understand how this happened I am left with a $500 charge on my credit card without much explanation.Hotel manager is terrible at responding to queries and won’t return my calls and does not seem to monitor their own email inbox. No follow up with proof or effort to try work with customers. Very disappointing and I don’t think I will be staying again.

I had the most enjoyable stay at Ebb. The architecture and the overall vibe of this hotel has been so well thought out. The atmosphere is relaxed and I left feeling completely refreshed. In my opinion, Ebb is the best hotel in Dunedin.

Did not stay at the hotel, but stopped for lunch in the Cafe. Excellent coffee and very decently priced food, which was delicious. Highly recommend the cafe.

A good boutique hotel in the centre of Dunedin. Room is spacious, new , and modern.Bin wasn’t cleaned for us, but staff rectified it immediately when we asked.Recommended if you’re visiting Dunedin and would like somewhere central to stay.

This hotel is superb. The rooms are really spacious, well appointed and just beautiful. Stunning layout including green garden courtyards. The cafe downstairs is also excellent. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Beautiful hotel that’s very chic and stylish. I am a regular at the Distinction Dunedin and I think the Ebb is providing a second high end stay in Dunedin. The rooms are tasteful and the shower is stunning. I’d suggest they add some instant coffee to the rooms- I love the drip option but sometimes time is not on your side for a brewing.
