Very disappointed on the service. Requested for connection on 13th july as that is the move in date yet i have received a confirmation email saying the start date is 3rd july have already raised this via whatsapp and was told that they will put up the the request and yet nothing's changed i regret choosing contact energy. Not recommended can someone please get back to me. Dont expect me to pay for the fixed daily charge from 3rd july!!

Nothing is easy. Calling is not an option, website is hopeless. Trying to move house, but cannot get rates anywhere.Why would you invite Google reviews?

I joined contact 1 month ago. I’m still waiting to receive my power bill. And the contact App currently under service and has no update on power balance I’m currently on the phone now waiting for over 2 hours. I been calling them everyday for about a week now hoping someone would answer just to wait for hours online. Honestly I’ll be leaving this server if this continues on. Its ridiculous customer service! Just thinking about it? Just imagine if you had a power outage due to a natural disaster? Exactly! No one will answer your call or help you.. No star for me.. Don’t bother responding to this as I have already messaged you guys through WhatsApp, Facebook and Messenger

My overnight automatic payment had declined due to insufficient funds. Upon noticing this around 6:15 this morning I rectified the issue and called the Contact Energy Helpdesk with a message to call me back as soon as they could. The automated response stated that the approximate callback time would be about 2 hours but I was surprised when someone called me back in less than 15 minutes. Upon explaining my situation to the lady from the support team she indicated that she would manually apply the discount as payment was only a few hours overdue. As I am really really struggling this was the best news for me. Also the lady caller was extremely polite and displayed great empathy. Thanks so much for making my day.

Would not recommend to anyone. Joined about 2 months ago supplying me with gas and power. I haven’t received one bill from contact, spoke to numerous people on the phone,WhatsApp and messenger ( ps. Response via these apps are very slow) and still nothing. I asked to speak to the manager but was told that he or she will call me back the next day to sort out my issue, guess what no call !Same issue with most people at call centre I’ll call you back"I also asked them to fix my app as it was not showing me what I was charged for the hr/day or month (issue on there end)Was told IT would look into the issue but never got it fixedBe Aware !!!"

Terrible wait times and customer service! I was on the phone for over 1.5 hours today and all I wanted to do was to find out how much my bill was and pay it. (Tried logging in online but it says they are having trouble with their online accounts). After 30 min I got through to someone but then she transferred me to a 'billing team' but that wait went over an hour so I hung up. SO disappointed. I will be leaving this provider.

I have called so many times today in regards to my power reconnection after 2 hours on hold got through and sorted it got home from work and its off again its 5pm I have children its getting dark and after being on hold for 2 hours again yous hang up. So now im on call using two phones again!!! Useless

We had been with Contact Energy for Decades. Our monthly power payments were varying between $200 to $240. We changed provider and now we were only paying $140 to $180 it made a difference. Also it pays to read the reviews, so shop around.

What set of b*stards. These guys take no notice and don't care less about customer service. My father told them he was cancelling his service and direct debit and they send a horrible letter saying his payments have been dishonored and then have the cheek to charge an additional penalty fee. I had similar dealings with Contact many years ago and I would recommend Trustpower (Mercury) over Contact any time.

Most ridiculous service so far. I applied for the connection to be started on 31st May and no one cares to check if the connection has been done or not.In Dubai, the service are so fast that things turn up the same day. I wonder how this company is still in the market offering services to new Zealand people.
