I had the absolute time of my life on the 16 Day Amplified Tour. I went to New Zealand with pretty high expectations for the country, my adventure, and Haka Tours. Well my expectations were not only met, but BLOWN AWAY. This was my first time out of the US and I figured I'd go big. I spent Christmas and New Years in New Zealand with a group of amazing people from all over the world. We were under the care of the extremely knowledgeable (and funny) Daz. From cancelled activities, to a particular demand of orange juice in the breakfast box (ha! eyeroll), to minor mishaps along the way, Daz handled it all with patience and care. Inclement weather may cancel an event but Daz would always have backup plans on backup plans. Haka Tours is absolutely the way to go, I cannot imagine seeing New Zealand any other way. Their staff behind the scenes do amazing work and ensure you are prepared no matter how far in advance you might be booking your trip. I absolutely recommend Haka Tours and I recommend you do all the high adrenaline activities, bungy, hot air balloon, and paragliding... all were out of this world. Thank you Haka Tours, and New Zealand - I will be back.

Just finished the 10 day south Island lick tour in New Zealand! Absolutely loved it our driver James was awesome, good laugh and joined in with the group! Shame the itinerary online didn't actually match up with what we did/was offered to us.

I did The Epic NZ tour for 23 days and it was the best decision I could make! We had awesome Lizzie as a guide the whole time, who was extremely knowledgeable and funny. Heaps of extra activities for everyone. HAKA tours is one of the best way how to explore NZ if you don't have much time! Maybe it's little bit more expensive BUT worth every single penny! I would highly recommend them and would do a tour with them again!I had simply EPIC time on EPIC Island(s).

Advertised as being “created for travellers in their mid-thirties and upwards”, it was stated that “the biggest difference on a Haka Plus New Zealand small group tour is the style of accommodation. You’ll stay in trendy hotels, boutique motels, lodges, and rainforest retreats - no backpackers and no dorm rooms.Unfortunately

Our kiwi guide, Connor was the cherry on top of my incredible 23 day epic New Zealand tour with Haka. I chose the company because I wanted to support a small local business and I felt like they really delivered. A lot of activities in the beginning were cancelled due to Cyclone Gabrielle and Connor worked unbelievably hard to make sure he had a plan A, B, C, and sometimes D that made everyone in the group happy. He thought of games and activities to keep us entertained on days with long stints in the bus, told us endless fascinating facts about the land and the people, and anecdotes about his own life growing up in NZ. His local knowledge was beyond impressive and he generally went above and beyond to make the trip special for each of us. Most of the time Aotearoa speaks for herself in natural beauty and wonder, yet Connor created a safe, inclusive, family environment in his no-stress, friendly, calm Kiwi way that allowed us to experience her to the fullest.As mentioned frequently in others reviews, some of the accommodation bordered uninhabitable. Had a fabulous time in the rainforest retreat and many of the places provided. The hostels in Auckland and Wellington were some of the worst stays of my life. Haka should definitely look into other options for those locations.

You can't go wrong choosing Haka Tours to introduce you to New Zealand (or show you things you've never seen, if you've been there before). Well organized from the first click on their website months before the tour until the last moment I spent in their company. Fun and friendly staffers both at the office and on the tour (and running their lodges dotted throughout NZ). Had many amazing experiences on my 24 day epic" adventure with them - a bunch were included in the tour price. Their optional add-ons are all the ones you'd want to do

Just did the 10 day Southern Pioneer tour, with the awesome George as our guide and it was by far the best experience! First time solo travelling outside of Aus and we were so lucky with the beautiful group, but also the amount of beautiful scenery and activities we did. George was very warm, welcoming, down to earth and relaxed and he most definitely made the experience enjoyable. I absolutely loved the trip and would do it in a heartbeat again, highlight was the 2 night glamping experience on Wanaka, loved having the property to ourselves! Some discrepancies between Intrepid’s itinerary but nothing major. Loved the greenstone carving that was extra special! Could not fault the smoothness of the trip and the accommodation was fantastic! Especially in Lake Tekapo/Lake Ohau - the lodge was lovely and would have been nice to stay an extra night there actually. Special props to George for providing daily Māori word of the day’ and giving us such a wonderful, memorable experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 7 day South Island snow safari with Haka. Five star to our Connor our tour guide . He looked after everyone and made it all flow seamlessly. Had great local knowledge always a positive attitude. Highly recommend the tour to all snow lovers!

I did the Coasts & Culture North Island tour in December 2022 and I had a blast! Unfortunately, the weather was pretty bad during the entire trip, but that didn't stop my group from having fun. The activities were absolutely amazing, especially in Rotorua, and my guide, Summer, was fantastic. Her positive vibes, always cheerful attitude and knowledge of New Zealand made this trip unforgettable. I'm sure the tour wouldn't have been the same without her and she definitely positively influenced the mood of our group.
