I am not a gym person but I wasn’t feeling good in my own body and I had had enough of being so uncomfortable. The assessment with Janelle was really thorough, thank goodness I wasn’t put on the scales and I didn’t have my fat pinched but I did learn so much about my posture and alignment and my strengths and weaknesses. I have been training with Vicky Davis for a year and she has changed everything. I feel like I have my body back, my posture has corrected, my discomfort and pain have gone and I have a clear understanding about what was causing me problems so I can correct it everyday. I feel stronger, healthier and I look much better. She is more than a personal trainer. Vicky can completely rehabilitate from the ground up. Her knowledge is so vast and she adjusts each session to how I am on the day and really pays attention to my wellbeing. I look forward to our sessions and I would highly recommend Form Fitness and especially Vicky.

I looked on line for a gym/fitness place where I could be assessed as to my current posture. Janelle did a thorough check pointing out some areas that required some work. With the help from Vicky I now stand tall with a much improved posture. I have completed the homework required and that's after 3.5 months. Highly recommended organisation.

Recovering after injury without creating other imbalances or injuries has been a challenge - I have been impressed with the depth of knowledge staff at Form Fitness have to train in ways that have allowed me to begin to regain my strength and fitness with physical integrity and without aggravating physical niggles - big shout out to Vicky who has given me so much good advice and resources in addition to my training plans - thanks!!

I had an assessment done by Janelle and she really knows her stuff! The report she produced will be valuable for me since I don’t live in Christchurch. I can use it with another trainer in the future. The program she developed for me is something I can do without any equipment while I travel and will help me build a strong foundation and correct muscle imbalances that have developed from injuries and other causes. It was so informative and interesting! Janelle ha a great personality and was a pleasure to work with.

Janelle and her team at Form Fitness are absolute stars in taking care of their clients!As a chronic workaholic, my body was pretty worn out for years, with heaps of neck and back pain. But since I don't like huge gyms with no-one checking if I do my exercises right (or if I show up at all ;-) ), I was very excited to get Form Fitness recommended by a friend about a year ago: a small, cozy and well equipped, clean studio with amazing and highly-skilled personal trainers, where only a few people get trained at the same time.Starting off, Janelle, the owner of Form Fitness, performs an assessment on posture, flexibility and muscle function - I was highly impressed on how well she can interpret your strengths and weaknesses and point out the body areas requiring focus in training!She then booked me in with Rachel, who is not only a highly skilled and knowledgeable personal trainer, but also a very lovely and considerate person - which makes it so easy for me to go to my training regularly! I am training with Rachel since more than a year now, and my neck and back pain have reduced heaps, my posture improved and my overall body feeling is so much better - it's incredible how different I feel compared to a year ago. What I value most (besides the just overall very lovely atmosphere thanks to Rachel's positive aura) is that I learn how to use the correct muscles: my body tended to compensate weak muscles with others. Thanks to Rachel's great coaching, I learn to focus and use my body as I should.I highly recommend Form Fitness and the team, especially Rachel and Janelle! Thank you so much for all your great work with me - it's amazing to feel the improvements from my regular training! I am so grateful to have found such an amazing studio!At Form Fitness, the focus is on you and your individual needs: 5++ stars!

My experience with Vicky at FORM Fitness:After years of reluctantly “working out” at the gym and at home (just for the sake of doing SOMETHING physical for my body), I never felt like I was making any visible progress or building sustainable exercise habits. It was chore I did to “feel healthy” but in reality was a struggle with no consistency or long-term improvements.I knew I needed to find a more educational approach in order to actually learn how to use my body more efficiently and feel stronger and healthier in my day-to-day life.I started at Form Fitness with these goals in mind and honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher and trainer. Vicky has helped me build from the ground up; starting small with isolating muscle groupsI didn’t even know I had, building strength in my core, and building up an personalized excersize plan that I can easily implement into my routine at home with no equipment.Since starting 3 months ago with weekly sessions, I’ve noticed significant change : my posture has improved, I am engaging my core more during long work shifts - and becoming less reliant on muscles (like my shoulders and upper back) that used to cause regular soreness and pain. I can feel myself getting stronger as the weeks go by, and even more importantly, I am understanding WHY these techniques work for my body and how these skills will benefit me for the rest of my life.

Would highly recommend. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Pt’s are extremely focused on what our goals ours - posture, rehabilitation after serious injury and fitness/weight goals. Postural analysis, muscle imbalance and functional assessment was spot on - now reaping the benefits. Hard work but you know you’re working the right way using the correct muscles and form. No more back pain!

We enjoy working out at Form Fitness, the tuition comes from highly motivated trainers who are very skilled at what they do, but they also listen to our feedback and if necessary they adjust the exercise to suit our needs.
