Have been using city fitness wairau on and off for the past few years as my home gym is the the one at Westgate. The layout has vastly improved from what it was a few years back. A good spread of machines, good number of benches and squat racks for those who prefer free weights.One gripe that hasn't really been addressed from my first review is that the air conditioning can be hit or miss during the summer season, has improved a bit but on some of those days, it just can't keep up.Overall a great gym that is affordable and has the machines you need to hit most muscle groups well.

Overall experience is good. It’s a bit packed using rush hours and when it’s lunch or dinner time, the smell from kitchens downstairs flood into the gym. You can smell the oil all the time. But the equipments are good and useful for some good workouts.

Ive been attending the gym here since monday never had any quarms...today my partner finally decided to come for a look wanting to join being hes a very large man it takes alot for somebdy his size to even consider coming to the gym and the outcome the manager naera of wairau city fitness gym made him feel totally small and out of place complete arrogance we join a gym to help boost our mental and physical well being and get healthy not to be talked down upon and be made to feel out of place the gym is awesome however the manager your rude arrogant dont know why you work there if this is how you behave

very bad service, in wairau Cityfitness , the staff today spoke to me very badly no respect at all , please change this staff member service .

Machines aren't as new as other branches and some machines have increments in pounds but very well equiped otherwise.

Awesome gym. They’ve got very thing you need. Easy to park and good place to go.

Good selection equipment. Is always busy though and finding a car park is very often difficult, sometimes can take up to 15 mins!

It is one of the best gyms in NZ. They have branches almost everywhere.The gym always clean and tidy and usually most branches have new machines.Their fares are very competitive.
