Beautiful little Cafe. No surcharge on public holiday! Amazingly delicious iced coffee. Friendly staff helpful to both locals and tourists alike. Nice big well filled sandwiches!

I prefer places that make their own food rather than buy it in and Sunrise do make their own food - from offerings from the cabinet through to a menu offering. Check out their blackboard specials. They use LAffare coffee - nice, they give friendly service and you can sit inside or outside. Free wifi if you ask for the password when you make a purchase. Seems to be popular with people who work in the area so it must be good as there is plenty of choice. Give them a try. Pictured is the orange and date muffinOne of the few cafes that is actually open 7 days from early morning and stays open until at least 4 when many of the other cafes have already closedMy favourite breakfast option is the Big Breakfast with hash browns while daughter always orders the Eggs Benedict !Update - with winter arriving the steak pie has been a favourite - itactually has steak pieces in it. Daughter enjoys the BLT with chips!

Oh my goody gosh. The big breakfast hit the spot with a great selection of food. We found them mid day on watangi day and even with the crowd we could grab a comfy seat inside or outside and drinks and food were prompt and so good. The iced drinks such as smoothies and iced chocolate were godly on a hot day. They also serve their breakfast with gorgeous bread you know is handmade and not bought from the taste.

My very favourite café! Kim, Thi and Jamie take the time and care to learn their regulars' names and orders - it's so special to be treated like one of the family!I also enjoy the coffee (even though I'm not usually a fan of Laffare), and the pies are out of this world! Also worth trying are the Vietnamese items on the menu - I especially love the beef stew. Soul warming.
